THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 26th day of Shăbaan, 1440, (Thursday, 2nd May, 2019).
*_BUYING OUR JANNAT (PARADISE) ON DUNYA (EARTH) ESPECIALLY DURING RAMADAN_*. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
All worldly things are a trial for mankind (including wealth, businesses, families, careers, Children, Partners etc.). Wealth leads the destruction if not put in check. Majority of the problems challenging the world are because of fitnah(trials) of money. If we go back to the times of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and his noble companions, we see that their approach towards wealth was in stark contrast to what is the approach of We Muslims (and others) nowadays. The reason is simple; they understood Islam and followed it precisely, whereas we do not follow Islam sincerely. It is a matter of grave concern. Even in Ramadan, some are finding ways to avoid fasting, some suspending their haraam relationship temporary AstaghfirulLah, what a joke and risk to our soul.
ALLAH says in Surah Al-Baqarah: “O you who believe! Spend of that which I have provided for you, before a Day comes when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, nor intercession. And it is the disbelievers who are the Zalimun(wrongdowers).” Quran 2:254. Also ALLAH encourages HIS servants to spend in HIS cause. ALLAH says:
“Who is he/she that will lend to ALLAH a goodly loan so that HE may multiply it to him many times? And it is ALLAH that decreases or increases (your provisions), and unto HIM you shall return.” Quran 2: 245. Spending in the ALLAH’s way is called “a beautiful loan”. That's feeding the poor, relatives in need, supporting learned Islamic Teachers etc.
These verses from Holy Qur’an tells us that a Muslim should spend his/her wealth in this life. Don't keep saying forgetting that you can die any moment and be accountable for how you got the money and why you are keeping it instead of spending it. The amassed wealth shall be of no benefit for a person on the ‘Day of Judgment’ or when we die. Imagine you dying today having lots of savings in your accounts comparing to you spending it Islamically having empty accounts like mine😊, thats a real savings. There are many ways which we can ensure that our spending is in the Way of ALLAH. Let me highlight some points in this context especially during Ramadan:
a) Support own families especially on our wives and children; b) Support relatives who are financially weak; c) Support orphans; d) Support other poor people etc. So let's save little and spend more on charitable ways with intention to please ALLAH.
*_We ask ALLAH to aid us in spending our income as savings for our hereafter and increase us whiles we spend for HIS sake_*. Aameen.
