We wake each morning, breathing effortlessly, opening our eyes to see, hearing the sounds around us, walking on our own feet, eating, drinking, conversing, and going about our daily routines as though these things are guaranteed.   WHAT COUNTS MOST بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم It is related in some accounts that someone once presented 300 gold coins to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who gave them to ʿAli ibn Abi Talib رضي الله عنه. On his way home, ʿAli رضي الله عنه encountered a woman known for prostitution and gave her 100 of the coins. The following day, people began gossiping about what they considered to be misplaced charity. ʿAli رضي الله عنه was troubled by their criticism and resolved to give the next 100 coins to someone whom people would consider more deserving. He then encountered a man known for stealing and gave him 100 coins. Again, people criticized him for giving charity to someone they regarded as undeserving. Finally, ʿAli رضي الله عنه gave the remaining 100 coins to a wealthy man. Once again, people questioned his decision. Before you speak, act, earn, spend, use your phone, or make a decision, pause and ask yourself: “Will this please Allāh ʿAzzawajal?” Allāh ʿAzzawajal says: “And the pleasure of Allāh is greater.” — Qur’ān 9:72 The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allāh, even if it means displeasing the people, Allāh will be pleased with him…” — Jāmiʿ At-Tirmidhī 2414 Brothers and sisters, we spend so much time asking ourselves: “Will people be pleased with me?” But the question that truly matters is: “IS ALLĀH PLEASED WITH ME?” Our wealth, status, beauty, and worldly achievements will all be left behind.   FAJR REMINDER: TEACH THEM AL-FĀTIḤAH, REAP THE REWARD Rabīʿ Al-Akhīr 15, 1448 (27 September 2026) Learning, reciting, and teaching the Qur’ān are among the greatest acts of worship a Muslim can engage in. Among the most important portions of the Qur’ān to learn is its opening chapter, Sūrah Al-Fātiḥah. Abū Saʿīd Ibn Al-Muʿallā (Raḍiyallāhu ʿAnhu) narrated: “The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said to me, ‘Shall I not teach you the greatest Sūrah in the Qur’ān before I leave the Masjid?’ Then the Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to leave, so I reminded him, and he said: Al-Ḥamdulillāhi Rabbil-ʿĀlamīn (All praise is due to Allāh, the Lord of all that exists). It is the Seven Oft-Repeated Verses and the Grand Qur’ān that has been given to me.” [Sunan Ibn Mājah 3785] Sūrah Al-Fātiḥah also holds a unique position in Ṣalāh, as its recitation is an essential part of the prayer.   FAJR REMINDER: UNTIE DEADLY KNOTS بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Allah (SWT) placed Prophet Ādam (AS) and his wife in Paradise. Shayṭān came to them and whispered a lie. He told them that eating from the forbidden tree would make them live forever. Ādam (AS) and his wife ate from it, and Allah (SWT) commanded them to descend to the earth. This teaches us an important lesson: Shayṭān's promises are always lies. Shayṭān is still using the same trick with us today. When he wants you to do something wrong, he puts sweet lies into your heart, such as: (1) “Do it; nobody is watching you.” It is a lie: Allah (SWT) is always watching you. (2) “Don't worry. Allah (SWT) is Most Forgiving, so just do it.” It is a lie: Allah's mercy is not permission to deliberately persist in sin. FAJR REMINDER: MORE THAN A COMPANION'S WIFE Rabīʿ Al-Akhīr 14, 1448 (26-September-2026) Some women are remembered because of the men they married, while others are remembered for what they themselves contributed to Islām. Umm ad-Dardāʾ al-Kubrā, Khayrah bint Abī Ḥadrad (Raḍiyallāhu ʿAnhā), belongs to the latter. Before we proceed, however, there is an important distinction: there were two women known as Umm ad-Dardāʾ . The Kubrā was Khayrah bint Abī Ḥadrad, a Ṣaḥābiyyah and the wife of Abū ad-Dardāʾ (Raḍiyallāhu ʿAnhu). The Ṣughrā was his later wife, Hujaymah bint Ḥuyayy al-Waṣābiyyah, who was a Tābiʿiyyah (Raḥimahallāh). Sometimes, our hearts become so attached to the dunya that we spend all our strength chasing money, status, comfort, houses, cars, and the praise of people, while becoming careless about the most important thing we should strive for: the Aakhirah. Alhamdulillāh for granting us the opportunity to witness this blessed day of the week. May Allah (ﷻ) accept our deeds and make this Jumu‘ah a source of mercy and blessings for us all. Āmīn. In the Qur’ān, Allah (ﷻ) says: “And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah].” — Qur’ān 2:45 Imām Ibn Kathīr (رحمه الله) explained in his Tafsīr that Allah (ﷻ) commanded His servants to seek help through patience and prayer in order to attain the good of this life and the Hereafter. Today, gambling is no longer confined to betting shops, casinos, horse races, and lottery tickets. It has entered people's phones and computers through online sports betting, live betting, virtual sports, online casinos, slot games, crash and multiplier games, esports betting, digital lotteries, and other apps and platforms that allow people to stake money on uncertain outcomes. What once required a person to visit a particular place can now be carried in his pocket, available almost at any hour of the day. Whatever form it takes, gambling is Ḥarām, and whatever wealth is acquired through it is unlawful. But why would Islām prohibit something that may appear harmless to some people? Why is an activity that seems to offer nothing more than entertainment and a chance to make money forbidden? The ans...

  WHY ARE WE FORGETTING? بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم My dear brother. My dear sister. Allah ﷻ Himself sends blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and His angels do the same. This is mentioned clearly in the Qur’an. Allah ﷻ says: “Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him and greet him with peace.” 📖 Qur’an 33:56 Think about that. Allah ﷻ does it. The angels do it. And we, as believers, are commanded to do it too. Everyone is desperately looking for somewhere to escape the unbearable heat, but there is nowhere to hide. The heat will be so severe that people will long for the judgment to begin just so they can be relieved from standing in that condition. This is the Day of Judgment. But on that Day, some people will receive a special protection.
