*THE DEVIL’S DECEPTION OF THE WORSHIPPERS IN THEIR DEVOTIONS (AL-IBÀDÀT)*

▫️ *The Devil's Deception of them in Matters of Ablutions (wudû)*
➖➖➖

Yã Ibn Adam ! Here are some of Iblis' shenanigans against believers, related to ablutions.

making the intention for wudu...

Iblis convinces some people of our community to say, when making the intention for wudu : 'I seek to lift the status of impurity.' Then to say: 'I seek to gain permission to pray.' Then to say again: 'I seek to lift the status of impurity.' Some people go so far as to repeat the wudu simply because they forgot to verbally state their intention.
___*PAGE 2*___.
✍️...

Ibn Al-Jawzi  (رحمه الله) said about this : _"The reason for this is ignorance in matters of religion. Intention is to be made by the heart, not verbally. So to utter the intention is not required. Also, there is no sense in repeating the intention"_
*[Talbis Iblis p234]*

Too much water...

Others of this community are deceived to use too much water. So they fall into four disliked things as mentioned by Ibn Al-Jawzi  (رحمه الله) :.
___*PAGE 3*___.
✍️...

_- Wasting water;_
_- Wasting valuable time in something that is neither obligatory nor encouraged;_
_- An implicit notion that Shari'ah is deficient because they were not satisfied with its orders to use less water,_
_- Wudu might take too long to the point of missing prayer, missing its beginning, which is its most virtuous part, or missing prayer in congregation._
*[Talbis Iblis p234]*.
___*PAGE 4*___.
✍️...
Regarding this, it was reported :

_*The Prophet (ﷺ) once passed by Sa'd while he was performing wudu and said: What is this wastefulness Sa'd ? He replied: Is there wastefulness in performing Wudu ? The Prophet (ﷺ) responded: Indeed, even if you were making wudu from a running river.*_
[Musnad Ahmad 7065 and lbn Majah 425]

It was not from our beloved Prophet's (ﷺ) conduct and etiquette to use too much water in religious rituals.
___*PAGE 5*___.
✍️...

Finally, Al-Hasan (رضي الله عنه) used to say: _"One of them makes wudu using a big container of water, and performs ghusl using a mazddah (a large container), they pour and pour and rub and rub. They torture themselves and go against the Sunnah."_
*[Talbis Iblis p235]*
_
*May Allah help us to put our knowledge into practice.*.
___*PAGE 6*___.
✍️...

▫️ *The Devil's Deception of them Regarding Performing Prayer (al-Salah)*
➖➖➖

Some of people of our ummah, performing prayer say: ''Allãhu Akbar" then wonder-off with their thoughts away from prayer. As if that is all what is required from prayer. In fact Ibn Al-Jawzi (رحمه الله) said : _"Takbir is like the entrance to prayer. How then could prayer, which is like a building, be neglected for the sake of its entrance ?"_
*[Talbis Iblis p239]*.
___*PAGE 7*___.

Some of them join the Imam late when only a bit is left before he bends for ruku. Instead of reciting al-Fãtihah, he reads the du'a that is to be said at the start of prayer.

This is from Iblis's deception, because reciting al-Fãtihah is obligatory, while reciting the starting du'a is Sunnah (and not obligatory). One must not put the Sunnah ahead of obligation.
___*PAGE 8*___.
✍️...

Ibn Al-Jawzi (رحمه الله) said regarding this : _"I used to do this until one day our Shaikh Abu Bakr al-DinawarI heard me do so. He said: Son, scholars differed on whether or not reciting al-Fãtihah behind the Imam is an obligation, but they never differed on the opening du'a being Sunnah. So busy yourself with obligations instead of Sunan."_
*[Talbis Iblis p239]*

Yã Oukhty wa Yã Akhy ! Some people of among our community get surprised of advice against doing these things. But we shouldn't.
___*PAGE 9*___.
✍️...

As Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (رضي الله عنه) said : _"The ruling of Islam must not be abandoned for the sake of any person. The religion is most important and it is possible for people to err, or that they become unaware of some Hadith."_
*[Talbis Iblis p241]*
____

It is not uncommon in our community to have thoughts that come to us as we perform our Salah.
___*PAGE 10*___.
✍️...

Regarding this : _*'Uthman Ibn Abial-'As said: The devil comes between me and my prayers and recitation, confusing me therein. The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: "That is a devil called khinzab. If he affects you, then seek refuge in Allaah from him and (dry) spittle to your left three times." He [the companion] said: "I did that and Allaah took him away from me."*_
[Muslim, 223]

Iblis deceived many worshippers to make them think that worship was only to stand up and sit down. They focus on this and ignore some of the prayer duties without them knowing so.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
