*THE WORLD IS A STAGE — AND ALLAH IS THE TRUE SOVEREIGN*
➖➖➖
This worldly life is nothing but a temporary arena—like a playground where roles are assigned, tested, and eventually withdrawn. Man walks upon it thinking he possesses power, status, or control, yet in reality, he owns nothing except what Allah permits.
Consider the one who assumes the position of a king. He is no different from an actor on a stage, adorned with a crown, issuing commands, and moving with pride as though authority truly belongs to him. Yet behind the curtain, he is merely a servant—subject to the will of the Director.
At any moment, if the Director wills, that “king” may be stripped of his title, removed from his position, humiliated, imprisoned, or even destroyed. Such is the fragile nature of worldly authority.
And indeed, these “plays” are not confined to theatres—they unfold every day across the world.
There are those who turn to saints and man-made deities, believing they can answer prayers, while in truth they possess no authority whatsoever. Allah says in the Qur’an:
*“And those whom you invoke besides Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed.”*
(Surah Fatir 35:13)
There are people who claim knowledge of the unseen, attempting to uncover what Allah has kept hidden. Yet Allah clearly declares:
*“Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the unseen except Allah.”
(Surah An-Naml 27:65)
Others behave as though they provide sustenance to mankind, forgetting that they themselves are sustained only by Allah:
*“Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.”*
(Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:58)
And among them are those who believe they control honour and disgrace, benefit and harm—yet Allah reminds us:
*“You give honour to whom You will and You humble whom You will.”*
(Surah Aal ‘Imran 3:26)
Such individuals boast of their greatness, yet their very existence is marked by complete dependence on their Creator. Their foreheads bear the unseen stamp of servitude, no matter how loudly they proclaim independence.
A single turn of fate can bring them down—those once elevated may be trampled underfoot by the very people they once dominated. Wealth fades, power slips away, and influence vanishes.
Then comes death—the ultimate equaliser.
At that moment, every illusion collapses.
When man crosses from this temporary world into the Hereafter, the truth becomes undeniable. All false assumptions are stripped away. Every belief is exposed, and every action is weighed with perfect justice.
Allah says:
*“You were certainly in heedlessness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight today is sharp.”*
(Surah Qaf 50:22)
This world, then, is not a place of true ownership—but a test of humility, sincerity, and submission.
The wise one is not the one who plays his role with arrogance, but the one who remembers the One who assigned the role in the first place.
