 Days in DhulHijah

[[-6th Outing-]]
------------------

بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم

(1) Abu Hurairah (ra) reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said, *“There are no days more loved to Allah for you to worship Him than the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. Fasting any day during it is equivalent to fasting one year, and to offer tahajjud prayer (late night prayer) during one of its nights is like performing the night of power, Lailatul Qadr.”* 📚 (At-Tirmidhi)

(2) Abu Qatadah reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said, *“Fasting on the day of Arafah is expiation for two years, the year preceding it and the year following it. And fasting the day of Ashura is expiation for the year preceding it.”* 📚Muslim

So,

As Muslims, we should welcome the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah with the same enthusiasm as we do the last ten days of Ramadan. This golden opportunity should be utilized to increase in our acts of ibadah especially giving out charity because, there is unprecedented hunger, poverty, and suffering among the Muslims today, especially the orphans and widows.

Now,

*Rewarding Act Number 5:* Kindness to parents

For those whose parents are gone, please remember them more in Du'a making this time. For those whose parents are still alive, remember that parents are held in very high esteem in religion of Islam, especially the mothers. Yes. I remembered a hadith, *“Your paradise lies under the feet of your mother,”* 📚 Authentic

*Learn from the story below:*

Uwais Qarni from Yemen was the one prophet Muhammad (saw) told a story about taking care of his mother to a group of his companions.

Prophet Muhammad told his companions that there is man who will come to you from Yemen. He comes from Murad and the tribe of Qaran. The Prophet went on to tell them about the leprosy and finished the description of Uwais saying, *"and he has a mother, he treats her extremely well, and is obedient to her."*  He then said, if Uwais al-Qarni takes an oath by Allah, Allah will surely honor that oath. If you meet him, ask him to seek forgiveness for you.

Umar ibn al-Khattab never forgot this advice, and when he became the leader of the Muslims, every year he would go out to meet those coming from Yemen for the pilgrimage. Umar would ask, "Is Uwais al-Qarni among you?" This continued for ten years. Finally, the people from Yemen said yes and pointed him out to Umar.

Umar went straight to Uwais to determine if he was the man Prophet Muhammad described. He asked, "Are you Uwais al-Qarni?"

He said, "Yes."

Umar continued, "From Murad and the tribe of Qaran?"

He said, "Yes."

Umar then asked, "Were you once afflicted with leprosy and your skin healed except for an area on your shoulder the size of a coin?"

Uwais said, "Yes."

Umar finally asked, "Do you have a mother that you respect, honor, and take care of?"

He said, "Yes."

Umar then explained that Prophet Muhammad advised him to ask Uwais to seek forgiveness from Allah for him (Umar). Uwais was taken aback; he pointed out to Umar that he was a companion of the Prophet and the leader of the Muslims. You should ask Allah to forgive me, Uwais insisted. However, Umar was not deterred, and Uwais supplicated that Allah forgive the sins of Umar ibn al-Khattab.

To be continued..

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE EXPIATION

FAJR REMINDER: THE EXPIATION! By: Umm Affān Dhū al-Qa'dah 3, 1447 (21-April-2026) Do you know how to live a good life and die upon goodness? I mean the deeds of expiation that help a person meet Allāh free from sins, as pure as the day they were born. Some people may imagine that this is achieved by repeating Astaghfirullāh a million times, praying hundreds of Rak‘āt without even facing the Qiblah, or locking themselves in a dark room for a year while engaging in invented forms of Dhikr. No—this is not the way. Rather, the path is what the Prophet (ﷺ) taught. Ibn Abbās (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhuma) said Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “My Lord came to me tonight in the most beautiful form (I think he said, in a dream). He (Allāh) said, ‘O Muḥammad, do you know what the chiefs on high (the Angels) disputed about?’ I said, ‘No.’ He put His Hand between my shoulder-blades and I could feel its coolness on my chest (or just beneath my throat), then I knew everything that is in the heavens and on e...
