 Muslims Till Death:

AS SALAAMU ALAYKUM WARAHMATULLAH WABARAKAATUHU . LET'S START TONIGHT'S EDUCATION. OUR TOPIC IS 👇.                                                                            *CHOOSING A FRIEND* (Episode 2(final)

Now......

*The question then arises is that, how can a person identify whether the other person which he or she wants to make a friend is a good or bad friend?*

▪️Regarding the kind of people a Muslim must try to be friend with, in Quran Allah Almighty say:

“And (as for) the believing men and the believing women, they are guardians of each other; they enjoin good and forbid evil and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and obey Allah and His Messenger; (as for) these, Allah will show mercy to them; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise.” *(9:71)*.

✍️...

From this ayah of Quran, it is clear that,, if a Muslim is to make friends, then the righteous person should be made friends who fulfill all the obligations of Islam and follow the instructions of Allah Almighty and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in every aspect of their life.

▪️Pertaining to the people that a Muslim needs to avoid as friends, Allah Almighty says in Quran:

✍️...

“The hypocritical men and the hypocritical women are all alike; they enjoin evil and forbid good and withhold their hands🤛; they have forsaken Allah, so He (Allah) has forsake them; surely the hypocrites are the transgressors.” *(9:67)*

From this ayah of Quran, it is clear that the people who are evil are the ones who are hypocrites. The hypocrites enjoin in evil *(like those who leur you into backbittng, slander, visiting fortunetellers, cheating on ur spouses etc), and they forget Allah and the instructions He has imposed. Thus, such are the people who a sane Muslim should never befriend, as their friendship only leads to tyranny and evil.

*The Parents Can Help The Child In Making Good Friends.. How?*

A learned woman said to her children: “As our body is nourished by food to gain strength, so also our spirit acquires virtue or vice by association with good or bad friends.”

Therefore.....

The parents can help the child in making good friends. They should pick children in their neighborhood with good behavior, character and background.

✍️...

Create opportunities for the children to meet and react with one another. If they become friends, encourage them to cement the friendship. This way, even if there are some minor defects in their own child, they can be warded off in the company of good children

*Characteristics of a Good Friend:*

In Islam, the followings are some of the characteristics to be looked forward to in a friend include: 👉 Intelligence' Faith, Honesty, Uprightness and well mannerism.

*Rights of a Friend*

Following some narrations (Hadiths), friendship entails certain trusts and duties.. Yes.. The one who observes them is a true friend while one who breach them is unworthy of friendship in Islam.. Here are some of the rights of friends:

▪️Rendering material supports in the time of need;

▪️Concealing their lapses and faults from others;
▪️Visiting them when they are sick;
▪️Participating in their funeral when they die.

*Conclusion:*

Man is influenced by the faith of his friends. Therefore, be careful of whom you befriend.

And.....

Friends are integral parts of our social life, and it is important to be selective in the choice of companions and friends. The righteous ones who lead one to righteousness in this world and prosperity in the Hereafter should be considered as friends.

We remember Abu Darda whose accetance of Islam was fueled by a bosom friend. Abu Darda was staunch idol worshiper who had a room specially for the idols. Once when the friend came looking for him and couldn’t find him, he destroyed all the idols. The wife of Abu Darda upon seeing this started crying before he showed up. Abu Darda contemplated that if his best friend did this then he wanted best for him. Also if the idols could benefit him they could’ve helped themselves from his friend. This is the harvest of pious friendship.

We can’t leave out the bondage between Hadratul Abu Baqar and the holy Prophet pbuh for their friendship was a better one too. Because Abu Baqar rta trusted Prophet enough is why he hurriedly accepted Islam. He even nearly died for Prophet when he was attacked by a mob. Abu Baqar instantly believed when he heard Prophet made mention he went to the heavens for the five daily prayers. Their friendship being a pious one is why Prophet chose him to lead the prayers during his sickness. This is also an example why we should once again chose a better friend.

Though Pharaoh we already know was a tyrant, he was also surrounded by bad company. Had Pharaoh surrounded himself with pious companies, his fate may has changed. We also remember the sahaba’s had no friend but fellow sahabas. Friendship we are talking about also compromises of choosing a pious spouse who will facilitate your entry to Jannah. Though we are permitted to marry fellow Muslims, marrying a staunch worshiper is of uncountable benefits. *We should therefore be critical in choosing a friend*.

End of Today's Education. Subhanakallahuma wabihamdik ash-Hadu an laaila Ilan Anta astagfiruka wa atuuubu ilayhi. *This conclude us on our topic*. May HE grant us the understanding of HIS religion. May Allah azza wa jalla strengthen and make us steadfast in faith. May HE accept our ibaadat and grant us the Good in this World and the Hereafter. May Allah Azza wa jalla forgive and grant us Jannah...AMIN.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
