 Bleeding Issues [Final ~ S h o w] ----------------- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم To sum up: Whatever bleeding or secretions occur at the time of menses come under the ruling on menses, whether that occurs before the usual menstrual bleeding and is connected to it, or it comes at the end of your period, before you see the usual signs of tuhr (end of menses). Thus you will know that you have to refrain from fasting and praying for the entire duration of your period, whether it is seven days or ten days, so long as you have not yet seen your tuhr (sign that the period has ended). If your period ended on the 17th, for example, then you have to purify yourself and do ghusl, and resume praying and fasting, from the time when you see your tuhr. The same applies if that happens on the 18th. And you have to do that every month.  Bleeding Issues [Third ~ S h o w] ----------------- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The basic principle regarding the bleeding experienced by women is that it is menses (hayd), so long as it does not last for longer than fifteen days, in which case it is regarded as istihaadah (irregular bleeding) by the majority of scholars. Some of the scholars – including Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) – are of the view that a woman is not mustahaadah (experiencing irregular bleeding) unless the bleeding lasts all month, or for most of the month. If a woman who has a regular cycle experiences istihaadah, if she knows her regular cycle, the time when her menses begins and ends, and how many days it lasts, then she should stop praying etc. at that time, even if the blood looks different. If you see that type of blood, then it is your menses, whether the duration of the bleeding is seven days or eight, or more or less, so long as it does not last for longer than fifteen days. Secondly: Brownish secretions come under the same rulings as menses if they are connected to it and come straight after it, before the woman sees the signs of tuhr (purity, i.e., the end of menses) which she knows.  FAJR REMINDER: A SIGN OF KHUSHŪ‘ By: Umm Affān Rabī' Al-Awwal 8, 1448 (21-August-2026) Crying during prayer does not, in itself, invalidate the prayer. On the contrary, tears that flow out of fear of Allāh, love for Him, hope in His Mercy, or deep reflection upon the Qur’ān are a manifestation of Khushū‘—humble reverence, solemnity, and complete submission before Allāh. Rather than being a flaw, such tears may indicate that the heart has been deeply affected by what it recites and hears. Ibn Juzayy (Raḥimahullāh) beautifully explained the reality of Khushū‘, saying: “Humble submission (Khushū') is a state of heart, which results from fear of Allāh, awareness that Allāh is watching, and humility before the Greatness of the Lord, may He be glorified and exalted. Among the most beautiful examples of how such dutifulness can elevate a person to an extraordinary rank with Allāh is the story of Uways Ibn ‘Āmir al-Qaranī (Raḥimahullāh). His story teaches us that a person may be virtually unknown among people while being honoured and recognised in the Sight of Allāh. Uways lived during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ), believed in him, and yet remained in Yemen with his mother to care for her. Notice the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam is described first as “HIS servant” (ʿabd) and then “HIS Messenger.” This teaches us something important: the greatest honour of a human being is to be a servant of ALLAH Azzawajal.  FAJR REMINDER: A PATH TO ALLĀH’S PLEASURE By: Umm Affān Rabī' Al-Awwal 3, 1448 (16-August-2026) The scholars have pointed out that the Pleasure of Allāh is connected to the pleasure of one's parents, just as the Anger of Allāh is connected to their anger. Therefore, the one who leaves this world while his parent is angry with him has placed himself in a grave danger and exposed himself to the Anger of Allāh. Allāh (ﷻ) says: “And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents.” [Sūrah Al-Isrā' (17): 23-24] This demonstrates the tremendous status of dutifulness to parents. Al-‘Iḥsān—the highest level of goodness—is not merely encouraged; it is a necessary obligation.  FAJR REMINDER: STRENGTH IN SILENCE By: Umm Affān Rabī' Al-Awwal 2, 1448 (15-August-2026) The gentle, soft-spoken, and quiet one—that was Ruqayyah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha), the second daughter of the Prophet (ﷺ), and the daughter of our great mother, Khadījah Bint Khuwaylid (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha). Before Islām, Ruqayyah was engaged to ‘Utbah, the son of Abū Lahab, the well-known disbelieving uncle of the Prophet (ﷺ). Abū Lahab became accursed by Allāh in Sūrah Al-Masadd after he opposed and cursed the Prophet (ﷺ), and Allāh (ﷻ) responded on behalf of His Messenger saying: “Perish the two hands of Abū Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he!” [Sūrah Al-Masadd (111): 1] Being related to the Prophet (ﷺ) was of no benefit to individuals such as Abū Lahab and Abū Ṭālib, his uncles, because they died upon disbelief.
