*_DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER_*
Yaum Al-khamis | 14th day of Rabee-ul Awwal, 1448 AH | Thursday, 27th August, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SURATUL-FAATIHAH continues_*. BismilLah.
Let's continue with our studies of suuratul Faatihah.
Verse 7.
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ
“The path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your favour.”
We are not asking for an imaginary path. We are asking ALLAH Azzawajal to place us upon the path of the people who received HIS favour.
غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
“Not the path of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray.”
The Qur’an later identifies those people as the: Prophets, truthful,
martyrs, righteous. Ibn Kathir explains that Faatihah directs the believer towards the true religion and righteous deeds, leading ultimately to success in the Hereafter.
Don't merely ask:
“What do I want to do with my life?”
Ask:
“What path would ALLAH Azzawajal be pleased for me to follow?”
Our role models should therefore be people of faith, righteousness, honesty, patience and obedience to ALLAH Azzawajal. On the last verse above, we ask ALLAH Azzawajal to protect us from two dangerous ways of life.
First: knowing the truth but refusing to follow it. A person may know what ALLAH Azzawajal commands but deliberately reject it because of:
pride, desires, money, status, culture, friendship, worldly interests.
Secondly: going astray through ignorance and false understanding.
A person may sincerely want to do good but follow a path without proper knowledge or guidance.
Therefore, the believer asks ALLAH Azzawajal to protect him or her from both problems:
Knowledge without obedience.
and Action without correct guidance. This is a profound lesson for every Muslim. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH_*. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
