*_DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER_*
Yaumul ahad| 10th day of Rabee-ul Awwal, 1448 AH | Sunday, 23rd August, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SURATUL-FAATIHAH_*. BismilLah.
Let's continue with our studies of suuratul Faatihah.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيم
“In the Name of ALLAH, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.”
Before beginning the Faatihah, we begin by mentioning ALLAH'S name.
This teaches us that a believer should begin his actions with ALLAH Azzawajal, seeking HIS help, blessing and acceptance.
Before you begin your work, your journey, your business, your studies,
your family responsibilities, your acts of worship, remember ALLAH Azzawajal.
But saying Bismillah should not become merely a habit of the tongue. We should understand what we are saying:
“I am beginning this in the name of ALLAH Azzawajal.” Therefore, I should not deliberately use ALLAH'S name to begin something sinful.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
“All praise belongs to ALLAH, Lord of all the worlds.”
This is one of the most powerful statements in the Qur’an. Notice that ALLAH Azzawajal does not begin by telling us: “You are poor.”
“You are weak.” “You are sinful.”
Instead, HE teaches us to begin with Al-Hamd, praise. What does “Al-Hamd” mean?
It is more than simply saying “thank you.” Hamd combines praise and gratitude. We praise ALLAH Azzawajal for who HE is, and we thank HIM for what HE gives us. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
