Allah's Best Slave
-----------------بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم
Allah (swt) asks a powerful question in the Quran:
أَمَّنۡ هُوَ قَٰنِتٌ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيۡلِ سَاجِدࣰا وَقَآئِمࣰا يَحۡذَرُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ وَيَرۡجُواْ رَحۡمَةَ رَبِّهِۦۗ
"Is the one who prays in the dark of the night, bowing and prostrating, who fears the Hereafter and hopes for his Lord's mercy, is that person like the one who does not?..." 📚(Quran 39:9)
The answer is clear: No!
They are not the same!
Allah (swt) knows how hard it is. HE knows the war you have with your bed. HE sees you fighting your tired body and your sleepy eyes, all just to worship HIM.
This is why Allah HIMSELF praises the people of Tahajjud. He says they are never, ever like those who squandered the entire night sleeping.
My People,
When you pray Tahajjud CONSISTENTLY, you are not an ordinary worshipper before Allah (swt). Yes. You are in the special list of Allah. You are doing something that makes you stand out.
Furthermore,
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once gave a warning that is meant for you and me. He told his companion, Abdullah:
“O `Abdullah, do not be like so and so! He used to pray at night and then he stopped doing that” (📚Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
The Prophet (pbuh) is talking to us (you & I). Yes. He is saying: "Do not be that person." And He is not just telling us a story. He is giving us a direct command. He is telling us what a true believer is.
A true believer is not a "sometimes" worshipper. It is not someone who prays Tahajjud one night and sleeps the next five or ten nights.
A true believer is steady. A true believer is reliable. They win against their own desires. So, don't be the example the Prophet (pbuh) uses to warn others.
You see,
When you make Tahajjud a habit, you are not just praying. You are proving your love for Allah (swt). You are showing that Allah is more important than your sleep.
Every night, when the alarm rings, you can be like "so-and-so".... who is part-time worshipper or you can be a reliable servant who pray Tahajjud every blessed consistently.
In fact,
Angels carry the attendance register every night. So never miss even for one night without waking up for Tahajjud. Do it until the end of your life.
Therefore,
If u have not yet set ur phone alarm in a repeating mode, to wake u up for midnight nawafil *(Tahajjud)* everyday till the end of ur life, pls do so immediately. Yes. It's not difficult bcos people are waking up for Tahajjud everyday without missing. It's all about priority!
