Muslims Till Death:
AS SALAAMU ALAYKUM WARAHMATULLAH WABARAKAATUHU . LET'S START TONIGHT'S EDUCATION. OUR TOPIC IS 👇. *THE FIVE DAILY PRAYERS* (Episode 5)___*PAGE 1*___.

Ignorance is sometimes pardoned in Islam. For instance we are pardoned when we eat due to forgetfulness during fasting. But there are differences in opinion on the part of scholars as to whether swalat offered while in junub valid when one didn't know he was junub. With this we mean praying without ghusl after wet dream or having intercourse because one thought he was pure. Some scholars assume since it was due to forgetfulness one is pardoned. Other school of thought oppose that by saying even if after swalat one remember he didn't recite Fatiha then the prayer list be repeated.

They goes on to say that some mistakes are expenses to be pardoned and that repeating the act of worship is better. In all *Allahu A'alam*. This similar issue is what is clarifiedin the first Hadith. Once an Imam omit something in the prayer and he didn't correct it while it wasn't noticed by the congregation then the congregation are pardoned while he isn't. And when He correctly prays then they all receive the reward. There's also a school of thought which claims when one catch some part of the swalat in which the imam didn't make mistake, then he isn't entitled to rectify (by offering sujud sahw) it.

We all know *Qab'li* is done before the tasleem while *Ba'adi* is done after tasleem. For instance when one catch up the last two raka'ats of zuhr after the Imaam omit/add something in/to the swalat, he is entitled to perform the Ba'adi after making up his missed raka'ats. Since he is entitled to perform Qab'li so he is to perform Ba'di too. Though some mazhab oppse this as I said, but adhering to this is better. We Shall however go more into Sujud sahw (Qab'li and Ba'adi) in our subsequent lesson on this broad topic in Sha Allah. The second hadith warn us off lengthening our swalats/verses when leading the prayer.

One can do that when praying alone but isn't encouraged doing that with the congregation. A man happened to dodge the morning prayer and confessed of the imam prolonging the prayer when asked why. Prophet didn't fancy the imam's act and thereby orders us /imam's to shorten prayers since the congregation may contain the weak, old and the needy. The third Hadith also emphasize on the same issue and that Prophet upon hearing the cry of a baby while leading prayer shortens it. He didn't want the child to put the mum to trial.

*Let's continue on these Hadiths*👇. Volume 1, Book 11, Number 578:
Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
When the Muslims arrived at Medina, they used to assemble for the prayer, and used to guess the time for it. During those days, the practice of Adhan for the prayers had not been introduced yet. Once they discussed this problem regarding the call for prayer. Some people suggested the use of a bell like the Christians, others proposed a trumpet like the horn used by the Jews, but 'Umar was the first to suggest that a man should call (the people) for the prayer; so Allah's Apostle ordered Bilal to get up and pronounce the Adhan for prayers.

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 577:
Narrated Anas:
The people mentioned the fire and the bell (they suggested those as signals to indicate the starting of prayers), and by that they mentioned the Jews and the Christians. Then Bilal was ordered to pronounce Adhan for the prayer by saying its wordings twice, and for the Iqama (the call for the actual standing for the prayers in rows) by saying its wordings once. (Iqama is pronounced when the people are ready for the prayer).

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 583:
Narrated 'Abdul Rahman:
Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri told my father, "I see you liking sheep and the wilderness. So whenever you are with your sheep or in the wilderness and you want to pronounce Adhan for the prayer raise your voice in doing so, for whoever hears the Adhan, whether a human being, a jinn or any other creature, will be a witness for you on the Day of Resurrection." Abu Said added, "I heard it (this narration) from Allah's Apostle."

Hadratul Umar r.t.a was a great Companion of the Holy Prophet who was before a disbeliever. He played major role in making sure Islam stood firm. Most of his opinions were approved by the Holy Prophet and Allah. He was who first opinioned the wives of Prophet cover themselves which was later approved for which some verses in the Quran was revealed. He also did wished the Qibla be changed to Qa'aba for which it was later changed via Quaranic verse. He also object to the freeing of the captives from badr battle though Prophet objected earlier.Later Quranic verses were received supporting his opinion.

His opinion was also accepted when he suggested the call of adhan. Some Muslims suggested the use of bells like the Christians and trumpet like horn to that of the Jews. But Prophet accepted that of Umar's opinion since the other two is an imitation of the Jews and Christians. *Adhan* as we all know is pronounced calling people to swalat, whereas *Iqama* is pronounced when the people are ready for the prayer. Adhan is done raising one's voice louder as compared to Iqama. It is encouraged to raise one's voice for any creature wheather jinn, human, animal that hears it will bear witness to the caller on the judgment day.
