Tired or Retired?
-----------------بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Sleep is an important part of living and is a way to recharge your batteries to prepare yourself to continue your daily activities.
But,
There is something about sleep many of us take for granted. Yes. Many of us take it that - *"It is a MUST for everyone who go to sleep to wake up from sleep"*- whereas, the matter of waking up from sleep is purely Allah's
*The Dead And The One Sleeping:*
In this life, the soul and the body are together except during sleep when the soul may leave the body and come back in the morning or anytime or Allah may take the soul at that time. Allah (swt) say:
“It is Allah that takes the souls at death; and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep: those on whom He has passed the decree of death, He keeps back (from returning to life), but the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed. Verily in this are Signs for those who reflect.” 📚(39:42)
It is indeed something to be pondered; that we die each night and Allah gives us another chance at life when we wake up the next day.
Sure,
We may not want to hear about the topic DEATH or know about the processes that occur after we die because we are afraid or don’t want to think about it. However, this is not the attitude of a Muslim. We should be foremost in learning and understanding death, so we can live our lives accordingly.
The prophet (pbuh) said, *“Live in this world as though you are a stranger or a traveler (passing through it).”* 📚[Muslim]
My People,
We are on a journey and should know about the whole journey’s itinerary, not just one part.
Our intention is not to frighten anyone but to remind ourselves to always - *"go to bed with the intention of waking up for Tahajjud"* - so that if we are amongst those whose souls will be returned back to our bodies, then, ALHAMDULILLAH and if Allah (swt) decree otherwise, then, ALHAMDULILLAH.
My People,
We are given in this world , the ability to make choices after the age of puberty and we will later be punished or rewarded based upon those choices. Yes. Allah (swt) gives each of us the natural Fitrah, knowledge of good and bad as well as right and wrong. The rest is up to us!
*Tahajjud Time Ends When?*
It depends on ur location. Immediately after Ishaai prayer, Tahajjud time begins & end 20minutes b4 fajr prayer time.
Therefore,
If u have not yet set ur phone alarm in a repeating mode, to wake u up for midnight nawafil *(Tahajjud)* everyday till the end of ur life, pls do so immediately. Yes. It's not difficult bcos people are waking up for Tahajjud everyday without missing. It's all about priority!
Finally,
Abdullah ibnAmr (RA) reported that the Prophet (saw) said to him: *“O `Abdullah, do not be like so and so! He used to pray at night and then he stopped doing that”*(📚Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
