*_DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER_*
Yaum al-ithnayn | 27th day of Safar, 1448 AH | Monday, 10th August, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SŪRAH AN-NAAZI'AAT (Qur'an 79) continues_*. BismilLah
Let's continue with our studies of suurah An-Naazi'aat from verse 35 to 41 which speaks about "The fate of the people of Paradise and Hell".
Verse 35.
ALLAH Azzawajal says:
يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ مَا سَعَىٰ
“On the Day when every human being will remember what he or she strove for.” Qur’an 79:35.
This verse is short, but it carries a very powerful warning. It follows immediately after ALLAH Azzawajal mentions At-Ṭāmmah Al-Kubrā, the Greatest Catastrophe, the Day of Resurrection from the previous verse 34 we studied yesterday.
What does “what he strove for” mean? The Arabic expression مَا سَعَىٰ (mā saʿā) refers to what a person worked for, pursued, struggled for and exerted himself to achieve throughout their life.
On that Day, a person will remember their life with complete clarity. He/she will remember:
What he spent his time doing.
What he worked hard to obtain.
What he sacrificed for. The good deeds he performed. The sins he committed. The opportunities he wasted. The people he helped or harmed. And, most importantly, what he made the purpose of his life. The dunya often distracts us from these realities.
Verse 36
وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ
"And Hellfire will be exposed for all to see." Jahannam will be brought forth and made visible. There will be no more denying it, mocking it, or pretending that it does not exist.
During this life, some people hear about Hell but dismiss it as something distant or unreal.
On that Day, the reality will be undeniable.
ALLAH Azzawajal says:
"And Hellfire will be brought out that Day..." (Qur'an 89:23).The wise believer therefore believes in the unseen before seeing it. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
