Yã Oukhty ! Yã Akhy !

Beware of the presence of this jinn with you and control yourself in the face of anger. Control yourself in the face of jealousy and lust. Control yourself against your passions.

Ibn Al-Jawzi (رحمه الله) said :
_"Ibl:is has deceived members of this nation in matters of creed using two paths :_
_- The first : blind following (making taqlid) of forefathers._
_-The second: dwelling into matters that humans could never comprehend, which resulted in much confusion._
*[Talbis Iblis, p149]*.

As for the first path,, Iblis convinced imitators that proofs may become confusing, and that the truth may become hidden, so it is better to imitate others. Many people, unfortunately, went astray because of this way of thinking. Jews and Christians imitated their forefathers and scholars, and so did the people of jahiliyyah. And this is a big cause behind their straying.

Ya Ibn Adam ! Just using our logic can make us realize that the same argument by which they praise imitation can be used to condemn it.

Indeed, if the evidence was confused and the truth was not clear, then one should especially not imitate because imitation would certainly lead to misguidance !
_____

Allaah ﷻ says in His Glorious Qur'an:
*بَلْ قَالُوا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِم مُّهْتَدُونَ*
*Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."*
[Azzukhruf 43:22].
___*PAGE 5*___.

And Allaah ﷻ says again:

*وَكَذَلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ*
*And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."* [Azzukhruf 43:23].
___*PAGE 6*___.

Ibn Al-Jawzi said: _"In blind following there is a nullification of intellect, because intellect was meant for contemplation. Indeed, it is inappropriate for someone who was handed a lit candle to turn it off and walk in the darkness._ *[Talbis Iblis p150]*

Most followers of schools of thought glorify certain people, and therefore follow their opinions without adequate analysis. This is the essence of misguidance because people should consider the opinion itself not the one holding this opinion.

Al-Harith lbn Hawt asked the companion 'All (رضي الله عنه) : _"Could Talha and Al Zubayr have been on the wrong path ?"_ Then 'All (رضي الله عنه) responded: _"You have been deceived. Truth is not determined according to the identity of individuals (who claim to behold it). Realise the truth and only then will you identify those who are on it."_

*[Tafsir Al-Qurtubi t2 p.19]*.
___*PAGE 8*___.

Finally, Imam Ahmed Ibn Hambal (رحمه الله) said:
_"It is a sign of a lack of knowledge for someone to imitate another man in matters of creed"._
*[Talbis Iblis p.151]*
_

This allows us to see, Yã Oukhty wa Yã Akhy, that research of science is key point to preserve ourselves from misguidance.

It is time that we knowingly worship our Lord rather than imitating.
_
*Yã Allaah keep us from going astray because of our ignorance*.

▫️ *Seeking Refuge from the Devil*

Allaah ﷻ ordered us to request His protection from Satan when reading Qur'an as mentioned in His Words :

*فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرْآنَ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ*
*So when you recite the Qur'an, [first] seek refuge in Allaah from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy].*
[An-Nahl 16:98].

And when falling to a magic spell. He ﷻ said :

*قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ*
*Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.*
[An-Nas 114:11]

Ibn Al-Jawzi  (رحمه الله) said about these two situations : _"Allaah has ordered us to seek refuge from the devil's evil in these two matters, so how about in other matters?!"_  *[Talbis Iblis p81]*.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
