The day after Eid al-Adha is called the 11th of Dhul-Hijjah, and it is the first of the Days of Tashrīq (Ayyām at-Tashrīq). These are the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The days of Tashrīq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim
During these days, Muslims are encouraged to:
Continue saying the Takbīr:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah,
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil-hamd.
Remember Allah frequently.
Eat from the Udhiyah/Qurbani meat.
Pilgrims continue the rites of Hajj, especially stoning the Jamarāt.
It is also prohibited to fast on these days except for specific cases related to Hajj.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“And remember Allah during the appointed days…”
— Surah Al-Baqarah 2:203
