*EPISODE 8️⃣: Protests & Demonstrations (Revolution & Overthrowing) - PART 1️⃣/2️⃣*

Protests and demonstrations are haraam in Islaam.

Revolutions and overthrowing governments are haraam in Islaam.

*Shaykh Al-Albaani (رحمه الله) said:*

_‘Changing society according to Islaamic principles is not done by shouting out, screaming loudly during demonstrations and protests._

_In fact, it is done by remaining silent and by spreading knowledge among the Muslims and educating, training them upon Islaam until the training and education bring about its harvest even if it is after a long time._

_The educational and training means in the Islaamic Sharia differ completely from the means of education and training as is in the non-Muslim lands._

_This is why I say briefly, indeed demonstrations and protests which occur in some lands of Islaam, then the origin of this is going away from the path of the Muslims and it is imitating the non-Muslims._

Allaah (ﷻ) said:

*وَمَن یُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَیَتَّبِعۡ غَیۡرَ سَبِیلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصۡلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَسَاۤءَتۡ مَصِیرًا*

*“And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers’ way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell – what an evil destination.”*

(Surat An-Nisa’ 115)

*Shaykh Muqbil al-Wada’iee (رحمه الله) said:*

_‘We do not invite and call to revolutions nor to overthrowing and coups._

_I swear by Allaah, we do not love for a revolution to take place in Iraq because it will cause the spilling of the blood of the Muslims._

_We do not love for a revolution to take place in Libya because the calamity would be upon the heads of the poor and needy people. Likewise, we do not love for a revolution to take place in Syria because the calamity would be upon the Muslims.’_

[Fadaahai wa Nasaahai 105-106]
