AS A WEB DESIGNER, CAN I DESIGN A WEBSITE FOR A CLIENT TO CONTAIN LINKS TO HARAAM ACTIVITIES

 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 9th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1444AH (Monday 2nd January. 2023). *_AS A WEB DESIGNER, CAN I DESIGN A WEBSITE FOR A CLIENT TO CONTAIN LINKS TO HARAAM ACTIVITIES_*?. BismilLah. 


As a Muslim, It is permissible to work as a web designer, on condition that the websites are free of haram content and free of ads promoting such content, because that comes under the heading of cooperating in sins and transgression, as ALLAH, may HE be exalted, says to the nearest meaning 

"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and transgression. And fear ALLAH; indeed, ALLAH is severe in penalty) [Qur'an 5:2].


And the Prophet (blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand (by taking action); if he cannot, then with his tongue (by speaking out); and if he cannot, then with his heart (by hating it and feeling it is wrong), and that is the weakest of faith.” Narrated by Muslim (49).


Hence it is not permissible to put on the website links to cinemas or nightclubs, or similar things that involve helping in sin, and it is not permissible to create sections for these things, even if that is without developing them. ALLAH knows best. This applies to any handiwork or profession. *_May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protects us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.

Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life.
