THE BEST WEEK OF MUHARRAM

*_THE BEST WEEK OF MUHARRAM_*. *BismilLaah*

 

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of ALLAH (blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) said: “The best fast after Ramadan is in the month of ALLAH Muharram.”Narrated by Muslim (1982). 


We are encouraged to fast each Mondays and Thursdays well known to each of us but this coming Thursday and Friday are special for golden rewards so do not miss this coming Thursday 9th of Muharram then Friday then 10th of Muharram which is the day of Aashuura, the day ALLAH saved Musah alayhi salaam with his  followers and drowned Fir'aun and we fast to praise ALLAH bcs Musah alayhi salaam was one of the Messengers of ALLAH who was a Muslim so lets fast these 2 days together as its not recommended to single out Friday alone to fast even if its day of Aashuura. 

*_May ALLAH aid us to fast and may HE be pleased with us_*. Aameen. For our sisters who can't fast due to their monthly cycle or those who are sick, don't feel neglected, ALLAH may reward your intentions in any little acts of worship on these days such as studying the deen, reciting more zikir, feeding the poor, helping your family etc. *_May ALLAH bless us all_*. Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night.
