THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a, 25th Jumaadal Uulaa. (Wednesday, 29th of December 2021). *_HOW TO DISCIPLINE OURSELVES TOWARDS OBEDIENCE TO ALLAH_*. BismilLah.
As human beings, we all have some form of shortcomings. Whoever acknowledges that he or she has shortcomings is already on the path to self-discipline. This acknowledgement is one of the things that make us discipline ourselves and be persistent in doing so and seeking forgiveness regularly. This acknowledgement should not put you off disciplining yourself. It is a sign of ALLAAH’s care when a person tries to change himself and develop, as ALLAAH says:
“Verily, ALLAAH will not change the condition of a people as long as they do not strive to change their state themselves”[Quran 13:11].
So, whoever tries to change for the sake of ALLAAH, ALLAAH will help him or her to change.
Each person is individually responsible for his own self, and will be judge by ALLAH individually, as ALLAAH says:
“There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Gracious (ALLAH) as a slave.
Verily, ALLAH knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting. And every one of them will come to HIM alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender)”Qur’an 19:93-95. Let's strive to discipline ourselves through declaring war against our selfish heart desires, which has no place in Islam.
*_May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protects us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
