Assalamualaikum warhamatullah wabarakatuhu,
Been blessed with amazing parents is indeed a blessing.
It's a one-off opportunity.. If you are fortunate to have them you have them.. If you are unfortunate in this regard then you do not have anything to do..
We have no say in deciding who our parents are..
But..
Surely, we have a say in who becomes the parent of our children ..
One of the rights of our children on us is to choose for them the best of parent.
An advice from my teacher is;
"Look at your prospective spouse and ask yourself will he/she make a good parent for my child/children? If he/she was my parent, will I be proud to have him/her?"
You need a husband/wife for sure..
But..
Your children need more than just that.. They need an outstanding father/mother..
May Allah azza Wa jaal Grant all singles pious spouse. Aameen Aameen

Assalamualaikum warhamatullah wabarakatuhu,
Change, a thing we all seek. As individuals it is normal to want to live a better life, be a better person or replace our old/worn out things with a new one..
However, we must understand generally that change is a gradual process.
The fact that you refuse eating for instance today doesn't mean you will automatically loose weight. Body builders need to be consistent before they are rewarded with the shape they seek.
Similarly, we can work on our shortcomings and manners but we need to be consistent, patient and most importantly put in a lot of determination.
During prayers, when we seek help from Allah azza Wa jaal for change, we should use a similar approach of consistency, patience and dedication.
Do not start and stop because you haven't seen the change you seek..
You don't eat today and see an increase in height immediately.
Change takes time..
May Allah azza Wa jaal increase us in goodness, rectify our conditions and make us better persons. Aameen Aameen
