FAJR REMINDER: PATIENTLY OBEY ALLĀH! By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 12, 1447 (1-March-2026) We cannot discuss Ramaḍān without addressing the concept of Patience (or Perseverance). The activities associated with this holy month—fasting throughout the day, engaging in prayer at night, dedicating time to Qur'ān recitation, reciting Adhkār, participating in Tafsīr sessions, giving to those in need, and refraining from anything that could invalidate our fast—are all centered around the idea of patience. Indeed, every form of worship demands patience—patience in fulfilling what Allāh has commanded (i.e., worshipping Him and following His Guidelines) and patience in avoiding what He has forbidden (like Zinā', listening to obnoxious music, backbiting, gossiping, etc.). However, human nature tends to lean towards forbidden desires.
