Have U Started?*

*Have U Started?* ------------------ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم My dear brothers and sisters, guess what? Many wise Muslims have already begun their six days of fasting in Shawwal. They are about to grab the huge reward of fasting an entire year—for just six small days! Do not let this chance pass you by. My People, Ramadan has just ended, and our bodies are still getting used to not eating during the day. Before we fully go back to our old routine, this is the perfect time to push ourselves. Let us strive to fast these six days while the good habits are still fresh. If you are a man or a woman who plans to fast these six days, but you still have missed days from last Ramadan, remember this: start by paying back your missed fasts first, then begin your six days of Shawwal. This way, you take care of what you owe and still earn the great reward. Wise Muslims! Watch out for Shaytan's trick. He whispers to billions of us: "I will start next week… I will start in two weeks… I will fa...

BismilLah. On last week Thursday 19th March we paused our Qur’an studies to focus on the completion of Ramadhan and for Eid Celebrations,  Let's continue with our studies of suurah Al-Layl, Qur’an 92.  Verse 9 وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ And denies the best reward. Commentary: They reject the promise of the Hereafter. Practical Lessons: Weak belief leads to selfishness and sin. Strengthen faith through Qur’an and remembrance of ALLAH Azzawajal. Verse 10 فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ALLAH Azzawajal will make easy for him the path to hardship. Commentary: When someone persistently chooses evil, ALLAH Azzawajal allows or permit them to continue on that difficult path. Practical Lessons: Bad habits also become easy when repeated. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. PLEASE go through verse ...

GOOD DEEDS CONTINUE

FAJR REMINDER: GOOD DEEDS CONTINUE  By: Umm Affān Shawwāl 3, 1447 (22-March-2026) With the Will of Allāh, this year’s Ramaḍān has come to an end—only to return next year, if Allāh so wills. Yet, the departure of Ramaḍān does not signal the end of righteous actions. Rather, it reminds us that acts of worship are meant to continue beyond the blessed month. During Ramaḍān, we experienced firsthand the immense value of fasting, both in nurturing our souls and benefiting our physical well-being. It is important to remember that while fasting in Ramaḍān is obligatory, there are additional voluntary fasts that carry great reward. Among them is the fasting of six days in the month of Shawwāl, known as Sitta Shawwāl. Abū Ayyūb reported: The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said, “Whoever fasts the month of Ramaḍān and then follows it with six days of fasting in the month of Shawwāl, it will be as if he has fasted for the entire year.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1164] How vast is the Mercy of our Lord! I...

Saying Goodbye

*Saying Goodbye* [-Final Episode-] ------------------ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Sufyan AthThawri was heard saying before he passed away:👉 “If you depart to the hereafter without preparing the luggage of piety, on that Day you meet those who have. And you will regret not having been like them”. Now, If because Ramadan is gone, your Tahajjud is gone or after the end of this year month of Ramadan, you are not longer CONSISTENT in making up for midnight prayer (Tahajjud) then, there is a problem because it's expected that the month of Ramadan should be a drycleaner to our body and soul. My people! We should not to allow our appearances, our strength, health and youth to deceive us. Yes. That is because all of this is nothing but a mirage that one may see as water, but once he reaches it, he finds nothing.. Health will be followed by sickness, youth will be followed by old age, and strength will eventually turn into weakness. Servants of Allah! Worshipping Allah (swt) diligently should n...

FASTING 6 DAYS IN SHAWWAL_*. BismilLah.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum As-sabt, 2nd day of Shaw'waal, 1447AH, Saturday, 21st March, 2026. *_FASTING 6 DAYS IN SHAWWAL_*. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullaahi Wabarakaatuh. Alhamdulillah, we have completed the blessed month of Ramadan. But the opportunity for rewards continues! Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted the entire year.” (Sahih Muslim). Why is it so special? Because good deeds are multiplied by ten: Ramadan (30 days x10) = 300 days 6 days of Shawwal x10 = 60 days ➡️ Total = 360 days (a full year!) Benefits:  ➡️ It completes and perfects our Ramadan fasts.  ➡️ A sign that our Ramadan was accepted. ➡️ It Keeps us consistent in worship after Ramadan. 📌 Important Tips: These 6 days can be fasted anytime during Shawwal and can be consecutive or spread out. We can start from Monday in shaa ALLAH. Let's make our intention sincerely for ALLAH Azzawajal alon...

WHEN ‘EID AND JUMU'AH COINCIDE

FAJR REMINDER: WHEN ‘EID AND JUMU'AH COINCIDE By: Umm Affān Shawwāl 1, 1447 (20-March-2026) We give thanks to Allāh for granting us the blessing of witnessing this year’s Ramaḍān and ‘Eid al-Fiṭr. Allāh Akbar! The fact that this day also falls on Yawm al-Jumu‘ah only adds to its virtues and favor from Him. That said, an important question arises—particularly for the men—regarding how to observe the prayers of ‘Eid and Jumu‘ah when they coincide on the same day. The Sunnah provides clarity on this matter through several Marfū‘ (elevated) Aḥādīth.  Among them is the narration reported by Ibn ‘Umar (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhuma): “Two ‘Eid came together at the time of the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ), so he led the people in prayer, then he said: ‘Whoever wishes to come to Friday (prayer), let him come, and whoever wishes to stay behind, let him stay behind.‘” [Sunan Ibn Mājah 1312] In essence, when ‘Eid falls on a Friday, the one who attends the ‘Eid prayer with the Imām is granted a concessi...

Signs of an ACCEPTED Ramadhaan*🌷

🌷*Signs of an ACCEPTED Ramadhaan*🌷 by Asma bint Shameem  The blessed month of Ramadhaan has come to an end.  Alhamdulillaah you worked hard this Ramadhaan.  You fasted, you prayed, you read the Qur’aan, and you gave Sadaqah.  But was it all accepted by Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala? The ulama say that it is only Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala Who knows for SURE if any deed is accepted or not.  BUT there ARE definite certain SIGNS that point to whether our good deeds were accepted by Allaah or not.  So what are those signs? Was our ibaadah, our duaa, our fasting and praying accepted by Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala? 🍃 The scholars said: “Among the signs of acceptance (of good deeds) is that Allaah causes one hasanah (good deed) to be *followed by ANOTHER*, for the hasanah says, “My sister, my sister!”  And the sayi’ah (evil deed) also says, “My sister, my sister!” –we seek refuge with Allaah.  If Allaah has accepted a person's Ramadhaan, and h...

WHAT IF RAMAḌĀN IS THIRTY?

FAJR REMINDER: WHAT IF RAMAḌĀN IS THIRTY? By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 30, 1447 (19-March-2026) In the perfect Wisdom of Allāh, the crescent of Shawwāl was not sighted last night, and thus Ramaḍān continues today, completing this year’s Ramaḍān (i.e. Ramaḍān 1447) as thirty days. Abū Hurayrah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whenever you sight the new moon (of the month of Ramaḍān) observe fast, and when you sight it (the new moon of Shawwāl) break it, and if the sky is cloudy for you, then observe fast for thirty days.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1081] Given this clear guidance, one may wonder why there is any fuss at all. Surprisingly, there are “Muslims” who feel uneasy about this outcome, as they are eager to conclude Ramaḍān and return to their previous habits. Subḥānallāh! I even came across a statement from someone who claimed that regardless of whether the crescent of Shawwāl was sighted or not, he would not fast today. This is a deeply troubling stance, stemming from ...

Saying Goodbye* [[-- Episode 1 --]]

*Saying Goodbye* [[-- Episode 1 --]] ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم Wether we plan for it or not, one day, we will leave this world. Wise servant, Remember that our hearts are like a clean glass. Every day, dust gets in. The dust of bad thoughts, bad habits, backbiting, listening to gossip, watching haram programs on TVs and small or big sins. This dust makes our hearts dirty. A dirty heart does not listen easily. When the heart is dirty, we find it hard to obey Allah. We do things we know we shouldn't. It feels like a struggle. But Allah did not leave us like this. He sent us a perfect cleaner for our hearts. That cleaner is the Qur'an. And Guess what? Even though it's encouraged to know the meaning of the Arabic verses, but everybody must not know the meaning before they harvest the goodies in reading or listening to the Qur'an verses. Yes. Just read the Qur'an (at least 5 daily- minimum). Just listen to its audio. Play the Qur'an in your house al...

TIME TO REFLECT!

FAJR REMINDER: TIME TO REFLECT! By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 29, 1447 (18-March-2026) The blessed month of Ramaḍān is casting its shadow, it’ll soon leave. Fear grips the hearts of the true believers for the acceptance of their acts of worship therein and having the opportunity of witnessing another.  With sincerity, devoutness and determination we started the month - to be cleansed and free from our past sins. It tests our patience and fills our hearts with light and our minds with delight. Active nights, full of Qiyām and supplications; constant morning and evening Adhkār (remembrance of Allāh); unmissed forenoon prayer; better relationship with the Qur'ān; and various acts of worship. Time is spent eschewing vain talks, yet we’re fine for we instead engage in things more exciting which bring the promise of eternal glee. O Muslims! Let’s reflect on how much we’ve benefitted and how we’ll keep up after it’s gone? How do we continue the good after Ramaḍān? Truly, the Shayāṭīn will b...

Time for Qur'an* [[-- Episode 6 --]]

*Time for Qur'an* [[-- Episode 6 --]] ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم There was a man named Muktar. Muktar was a good man to his wife and children. He was a Muslim. He prayed his five prayers, mostly. He believed in Allah with all his heart. One night, Muktar had a dream. It was not a normal dream. It was clear and felt very real. In the dream, he died. He saw his own funeral. People were crying. Then, two angels came to him. They were kind, but their faces were serious. They took him to his grave. Inside the grave, it was dark and tight. Then, a door opened in the darkness. A beautiful, shining man walked in. His face was bright like the moon, and he smelled nicer than any flower. He brought a light that made the grave feel like a garden. The man smiled at Muktar. "I am the rewards of your kindness to your wife and children." Muktar felt a happiness he had never felt before. He was safe. But then, another door opened. A terrifying creature entered. It was ugl...

TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-LAYL(Qur’an 92), WITH SOME PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR DAILY LIFE continues

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 29th day of Ramadhan, 1447AH, Wednesday, 18th March, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-LAYL(Qur’an 92), WITH SOME PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR DAILY LIFE continues_*. Bismillah Let's continue from yesterday's reminder with our studies of suurah Al-Layl, Qur’an 92.  Verse 5 فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ As for the one who gives and fears ALLAH. This describes a righteous person who: Gives charity, Fears ALLAH Azzawajal. Early Muslims were encouraged to give even when they were poor. Practical Lessons: Give Sadaqah and Zakat. Support the poor and fasting people in Ramadan as we are currently doing and in Shaa ALLAH we will be among the successful.  Verse 6 وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ And believes in the best reward. “The best reward” refers to Paradise and ALLAH’S promise. Practical Lessons: True generosity comes from believing in the reward of the Hereafter. Give sincerely even if no one praises you. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May A...

GIVING ZAKĀT AL-FIṬR

FAJR REMINDER: GIVING ZAKĀT AL-FIṬR By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 28, 1447 (17-March-2026) Zakāt al-Fiṭr is an obligation upon every sane Muslim who has the means—young or old, male or female, free or slave. Its purpose is profound: it supports the poor and needy among the Muslims, purifies the fasting person from any idle or inappropriate speech uttered during Ramaḍān, draws the servant closer to Allāh, nurtures gratitude toward Him, strengthens one’s Eemān, and brings about colossal reward for our righteous actions. Therefore, anyone who has the capacity should strive to fulfill this obligation. As for its timing, Zakāt al-Fiṭr may be given one or two days before ‘Eid. However, the most virtuous time to offer it is on the day of ‘Eid before the ‘Eid prayer. Delaying it until after the prayer is not permissible, and it will not count as Zakāt al-Fiṭr. Ibn ‘Umar (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhuma) mentioned that: “The Prophet (ﷺ) enjoined Zakāt al-Fiṭr, a Sā'ā (portion) of dates, or a Sā'ā of barle...

Time for Qur'an* [[-- Episode 5 --]]

*Time for Qur'an* [[-- Episode 5 --]] ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم My brother, my sister, stop for one moment. Think about your life. Think about the worries, the challenges that never seem to end. The pain in your heart. The things you are struggling with. What if the cure has been with you all this time? Yes! Allah (swt) has given you not one, but many powerful medicines. If you use them, your life will change for good. This is a promise from Allah, not from me. Muslim Faithful, Your soul gets hungry and thirsty, just like your body. If you do not feed it, it becomes weak, sad, and empty. And I'm reminding you today that, the Qur'an is the food for your soul. I know you would not let your stomach starve for food even for a day. So why do you let your soul starve? Why? Honestly, If we want every good in this world and the next world, then, we MUST make the recitation of the Qur'an a non-negotiable business. Yes. It does not have to be a lot (even 5 pages...

TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-LAYL(Qur’an 92), WITH SOME PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR DAILY LIFE continues

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum athalaatha, 28th day of Ramadhan, 1447AH, Tuesday, 17th March, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-LAYL(Qur’an 92), WITH SOME PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR DAILY LIFE continues_*. BismilLah. Let's continue from yesterday's reminder on this suurah.  Verse 4 إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ Indeed, your efforts are diverse. People strive in different directions: some towards righteousness and others towards sin. This verse introduces the main theme: two different paths in life. Practical Lessons: Reflect during Ramadan: What am I striving for? Direct your effort toward pleasing ALLAH Azzawajal. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH.  Our Ramadhan Sadaqah project is ongoing and Alhamdulillah over 100 needy people have been supported so far by your generosity. The last day to send your Sadaqah or Zakaatul Fitir is tomorrow Wednesday 29th day of Ramadhan by 3pm Ghana time so that I can ensure it reaches the right people before eid day on Thursday or Friday in ShaaALL...

NO such thing as “Laylatul Jaa’izah”*

🔺 *NO such thing as “Laylatul Jaa’izah”*🔺 by Asma bint Shameem  Do NOT pick out the NIGHT BEFORE EID as something “special” or “virtuous” and do NOT make any SPECIAL ibaadaat on it.  Why not? Because there’s NO PROOF of any SPECIAL VIRTUES for the night before Eid.  And there’s NO SUCH THING as “Laylatul Jaa’izah” that’s proven from the authentic ahaadeeth of the Prophet ﷺ. Although it is true that Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala frees people from the fire of Hell at the end of Ramadhaan, the hadeeth talks about “the last NIGHT of RAMADHAAN”.  And NOT “the night of EID”.  You see, the “night” in Islaam begins BEFORE the day.  Thus, the night starts at MAGHRIB and lasts till Fajr. Then the day starts AFTER Fajr and lasts till the next Maghrib.  So when Allaah forgives people in the last night of Ramadhaan, that forgiveness happens in the LAST NIGHT of RAMADHAAN, which is the night BEFORE the last day of fasting.  And it’s NOT the night when th...

HOLDING FIRM AFTER

FAJR REMINDER: HOLDING FIRM AFTER RAMAḌĀN By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 27, 1447 (16-March-2026) Thanks to Allāh, we are truly in a blessed moment. It is worth asking ourselves: how far have we come during this month? What have we truly gained from it? Take a moment to reflect and perhaps even list the benefits and improvements you have experienced. Although the end of the month is approaching, it is not yet time to bid farewell, for there are still a few precious days remaining. These remaining days still hold opportunities for increasing acts of worship—prayer, supplication, recitation of the Qur’ān, charity, and other righteous deeds. The believer should continue striving according to his or her ability. It was reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Do those deeds which you can do easily, as Allāh will not get tired (of giving rewards) till you get bored and tired (of performing religious deeds).” Ā'ishah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha) added: “The most beloved prayer to the Prophet (ﷺ) was the one ...

Time for Qur'an* [[-- Episode 4 --]]

*Time for Qur'an* [[-- Episode 4 --]] ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم We wake up with worries. We go to bed with anxiety. We are always running, trying to find peace and happiness. We think: "If I just had more money, all my problems would be solved." But look closely. (1) Have you seen a person with a big house and nice cars, but their life is full of drama and sadness? (2) Have you met a simple person with little money, but their face is always bright with a real smile? This shows us something important. The peace we are looking for cannot be bought from a pharmacy😃. It cannot be found in a bank account. My People, Inside our hearts, there are two very dangerous sicknesses: (1) No Peace of Mind: Your heart is always restless, always worried, never calm. (2) No Contentment: You always feel you don't have enough. You look at what others have and feel poor, even if Allah has blessed you. Honestly, The two sicknesses above are more dangerous than cancer😃. ...

DO IT HONORABLY!

FAJR REMINDER: DO IT HONORABLY! By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 26, 1447 (15-March-2026) There is no doubt that Ramaḍān is the Month of the Qur’ān, and we are greatly encouraged to recite it aplenty. Reciting the Qur’ān is among the greatest ways of remembering Allāh. Allāh says: “O you who believe! Remember Allāh with much remembrance.” [Sūrah Al-Aḥzāb (33): 41] Engaging with the Speech of our Lord is a noble act. The superiority of Allāh’s Speech over all other speech is like the superiority of Allāh over His creation. Therefore, no one’s words should hold greater importance to us than the Speech of Allāh. After it, the most honored speech is that of Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ). However, an error that sometimes occurs is when a person neglects other forms of Adhkār (remembrance of Allāh), especially the Adhkār after each Ṣalāh (prayer) and the morning and evening Adhkār, simply because they are eager to complete the recitation of the Qur’ān a certain number of times. Some people truly fall into ...

What is Zakaatul-Fitr?*

🌷 *All about Zakaatul-Fitr (Fitraana)*🌷 by Asma bint Shameem  1️⃣ *What is Zakaatul-Fitr?* Zakaat al-fitr (also known as sadaqatul Fitr or Fitraana) is an act of worship that is obligatory for every Muslim, young or old, man or woman, if he has enough wealth for himself and his family for one day and night, on the day of Eid.  He must pay one saa’ of a local staple food to the poor Muslims on behalf of himself and for EACH of his dependents.  🍃The scholars said: “Zakaat al-fitr is obligatory for every Muslim, to be paid on his own behalf and on behalf of those on whose maintenance he is obliged to spend, if he has wealth surplus to his and his dependents’ needs for the day and night of Eid: one saa‘.” (Islamqa Fatwa # 207225) 🍃 Ibn ‘Umar radhi Allaahu anhu said: “The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ enjoined zakaat al-fitr, a saa’ of dates, or a saa’ of barley, for EVERY MUSLIM, slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he enjoined that it be given before the people...
