The 30 Muharamat (Prohibitions) (Part 27) Theme: Women wearing short, tight or see-though clothes

The 30 Muharamat (Prohibitions) (Part 27) Theme:  Women wearing short, tight or see-though clothes ◉༺══• One of the ways in which our enemies are attacking us in modern times is by means of the fashions which they design and promote, and which have become popular among Muslims. These fashions do not cover anything, because they are so short, transparent or tight; many of them are inappropriate for wearing even in front of other women or one's mahrams! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told us that these kinds of clothes would appear among the women of the last times, as was reported in the hadeeth narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him): "There are two types of the people of Hell that I have not seen: people who have whips like the tails of cattle, with which they strike the people; and women who are dressed but naked, walking with an enticing gait, with their hair looking like the humps of camels, leaning sideways. They will not enter

ZAKAAT AL-FITR EXPLAINED

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS.  Yaum Al-Khamis, 27th day of Ramadhan. (Thursday, 28th of April, 2022). *_ZAKAAT AL-FITR EXPLAINED_*. BismilLah.  Our scholars have explained based on the Qur'an and Sunnah of our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam that the amount of Zakaatul Fitir is the same for everyone regardless of their different income brackets. The minimum amount is one Sa` (two handfuls) of food such as grain or dried fruit for each member of the family. This calculation is based on Ibn `Umar's report that the Prophet (peace be upon him) made Zakah al-Fitr compulsory and payable by a Sa` of dried dates or a Sa` of barley. The Sahabi, Abu Sa`id al-Khudri said, "In the Prophet's time, we used to give it (Zakah al-Fitr) as a Sa` of food, dried dates, barley, raisins or dried cheese". [Collected by Imam al-Bukhari - Arabic/English vol. 2, p. 340, no. 582 ]. You can also use Rice, Maize, wheat etc.  The father is responsible to give on behalf of his

The 30 Muharamat (Prohibitions) (Part 26) Theme: Slander

The 30 Muharamat (Prohibitions) (Part 26) Theme: Slander ◉༺══• Some people go about repeating the words of others to cause trouble between people; this is one of the greatest causes of broken relations and stirring up feelings of hatred among people. Allaah condemned the one who does this (interpretation of the meaning): "And obey not everyone who swears much, - and is considered worthless, a slanderer, going about with calumnies." [al-Qalam 68:10-11] Hudhayfah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "No eavesdropper will enter Paradise." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, see al-Fath, 10/472; "eavesdropper" here refers to a person who eavesdrops on others without their knowing, then goes and tells others what he has heard) Ibn 'Abbaas said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) passed by one of the gardens of Madeenah, and heard the sound of two people being punished in their graves. The Prophet (peac

30 Lessons on Fasting (Part 26) Theme: Vulgar or Fault Language during Fasting ◉༺══• Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "When any one of you is observing fasting on a day, he should neither indulge in obscene language nor should he raise the voice; and if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him he should say: 'I am observing fast."' The 30 Muharamat (Prohibitions) (Part 25) Theme: Gossip & backbiting

The 30 Muharamat (Prohibitions) (Part 25) Theme: Gossip & backbiting ◉༺══• Many gatherings produce nothing but gossip about other Muslims and slander of their honour. This is something which Allaah has forbidden His slaves, and has drawn the most repulsive analogy to put them off. He says (interpretation of the meaning): “. . . neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it . . .” [al-Hujuraat 49:12] The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained the meaning of this aayah. He said: “Do you know what gheebah (gossip or backbiting) is?” They said, “Allaah and His Messenger know best.” He said: "To say something about your brother that he does not want to be said." He was asked, "What do you think if what is said about him is true?" He said, "If what you say about him is true, this is backbiting, and if what you say about him is not true, this is a lie." STORY OF THE DAY* A Feast For Clothes

*STORY OF THE DAY* A Feast For Clothes Once upon a time in the Iranian city of Shiraz, there lived the famous poet Sheikh Saadi. Like most other poets and philosophers, Sheikh Saadi was not a rich man. He led a very simple life. A rich merchant of Shiraz invited Sheikh Saadi along with a lot of other big businessmen of the town on the occasion of his daughter's marriage which was to be a grand affair. Sheikh Saadi accepted the invitation and decided to attend. On the day of the wedding, the host and his family were receiving the guests at the gate. They were ushering all the guests towards the dining hall. All the rich people of the town attended the wedding. They had come out in best of their attires. Sheikh Saadi wore simple clothes which were neither grand nor expensive. He waited in a corner for someone to approach him but no one gave him as much as even a second glance. Even the host did not acknowledge him and looked away. Seeing all this, Sheikh Saadi quietly left the party
