The dignity of friday.
Alhamdulillah, lets praise and thank Allah for making us witness this day.
Friday is the best day of the week.
Allah says,
Al-Jumu'ah 62:9
O you who have believed, when [the adhān] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumuʿah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allāh and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.
As reported in hadith,
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he wasmade to enter Paradise, on it he. was expelled from it.
Sahih Muslim 854.
As in another Hadith,
Abu Huraira reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying:
The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. on it he wasmade to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.
Sahih Muslim 854 b.
It is sunnah to bath ghusl and chew siwak and wear the best apparel for jum'uah.
It was narrated from Aws bin Aws that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever washes (ghassala) and performs ghusl, comes early to the masjid and sits near the imam and does not engage in idle talk, he will have for every step he takes (the reward of) a year's worth of good deeds, fasting it and praying Qiyam during it."
Sunan an Nasa'i.
