Holding unto the deen in the time of trials.
Alhamdulillah, as we know as believers we are tested is all side of life
The trials comes to us and sometimes we feel Allah is not hearing our dua but the trials keeps coming until when we are about to loose hope, then will the help of Allah arrives.
As Allah says,
Al-Baqarah 2:214
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allāh?" Unquestionably, the help of Allāh is near.
Lets know we are tested as our eeman increases for Allah is testing us just like how a brilliant student is tested with difficulties by his teachers.
Allah says,
Al-'Ankabut 29:2
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?
Al-'Ankabut 29:3
But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allāh will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.
As reported in hadith,
Abu Burdah said:
'Ali said: "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said to me: 'O 'Ali, ask Allah for guidance and steadfastness,' and heforbade me from placing a ring on this one and this one' - and he pointed to his forefinger and middle finger.
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5210.
Steadfast we need more than anything when tested and in hardship.
As Allah says to the prophet,
Ash-Shura 42:15
So to that [religion of Allāh] invite, [O Muḥammad],[1] and remain on a right course as you are commanded and do not follow their inclinations but say, "I have believed in what Allāh has revealed of scripture [i.e., the Qur’ān], and I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allāh is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you your deeds.[2] There is no [need for] argument between us and you.[3] Allāh will bring us together, and to Him is the [final] destination."
