بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

It was because of the guests/visitors that had joined the wedding feast of  Zaynab (r.a) and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), three of which who refused to leave on time, that lead to the revelation of the verse in Surah Al-Ahzab 33:53, and eventually, the verses which commanded Muslim women to use hijab compulsorily was revealed. 📚Al-Ahzab 33:59

*Still on Hijab:*

Narrated Safiyyah bint Shaibah: 'Aishah used to say: "When the Verse: 'And to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks, and bosoms)' (Q24:31) was revealed, the ladies cut their waistsheets at the edges and covered their heads and faces with those cut pieces of cloth." 📚[Sahih Al-Bukhari

Now,

The Jilbab is a Rida', worn over the Khimar. Yes. This was the view of (1) Ibn Mas
ud, (2) Ubaydah, (3) Qatadah, (4) Al-Hasan Al-Basri, (5) Sa
id bin Jubayr, (6) Ibrahim An-Nakha`i, (7) Ata' Al-Khurasani and others.

It is like the Izar used today.

▪️Al-Jawhari said: "The Jilbab is the outer wrapper."

▪️Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn Abbas said that;
"Allah commanded the believing women, when they went out of their houses for some need, to cover their faces from above their heads with the Jilbab, leaving only one eye showing".

▪️Muhammad bin Sirin said : "I asked Ubaydah As-Salmani about the Ayah:
يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَبِيبِهِنَّ
(to draw their Jalabib over their bodies). He covered his face and head, with just his left eye showing."

My People!

An ideal islamic hijjab is that which go down to touch the ankle... So, any hijjab worn by muslim lady or woman which *did not go BEYOND her knee is not considered as islamic hijjab*. And Islamic hijab is that which fulfil the following conditions:

*Condition No 1*

Covering ALL Of The Body

From what you read above about hijab, it is an agreed position by majority of sunni respected scholars that the face and hands of the woman must be covered😳. Although, some scholars (minority) said - "it is permissible to uncover the face and the hands of the woman as long as there is no fitna (temptation) caused by this action"... They added that two things must be taken into consideration in this case:

a) if she is beautiful and beautifies her face and hands with external substances,

or

b) the society around her is corrupt where men do not lower their gaze🙄, then it is prohibited for her to uncover her face and hands.

*Condition No 2*

The hijab must not be a display

The hijab itself must not be a display. Yes. We are seeing different stylish modes of sawing hijab these days and Allah ordained it so as not to be a fashion and to cover the beauty of women and not for showing off.

Evidence:

"And not show of their adornment except only that which is apparent.'' (Q24:31).

"And stay in your houses and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance.'' (Q33:33)

*Condition No 3*

The hijab must not be perfumed

On the authority of Ad'Diya Al-Maqdisi, the prophet (pbuh) said: 👉 "Any woman who perfumes herself and passes by some people that they smell her scent, then, she is a Zaniyah (adulteress)." 📚 Authentic

*Condition No 4*

The hijab must not be transparent..

The purpose of wearing hijab must be achieved. In order for the hijab to be a cover, it must not be made of transparent attractive material making the woman covered only by name, while in reality she is naked.

The prophet (pbuh) said: "In the latest part of my Ummah (nation of Muslims) there shall be women who would be naked in spite of being dressed,... " 📚 Authentic hadeeth

*Condition No 5*

Islamic hijab is expected to be VERY THICK AND LONG enough to cover her down to the ankle

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
