BismilLah.  Islah (إصلاح) is an Arabic word and appears seven times in the Quran.  Linguistically speaking, this word means: reconciliation, reforming, bringing order, fixing something, making something better etc.  The one who makes islah is called a muslih (مصلح), and muslih appears in the Quran once in singular form and four times in plural form muslihoon (مصلحون). Our current world, our ummah is in dire need of islah. BismilLah.  In Qur'an 33:56, ALLAH says إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّۚ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ صَلُّواْ عَلَيۡهِ وَسَلِّمُواْ تَسۡلِيمًا  Indeed, ALLAH confers blessing upon the Prophet, and HIS angels [ask HIM to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ALLAH to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ALLAH to grant him] peace. Imam Al-Bukhari said that Abu Al-Aliyah said: "ALLAH’S Salah is HIS praising him before the angels, and the Salah of the angels is their supplication for ALLAH to keep praising the Prophet." In his Tafsir of this Ayah, Al-Bukhari recorded that Ka`b bin `Ujrah said, "It was said, `O Messenger of ALLAH, with regard to sending Salaam upon you, we know about this, but how about Salah?!' BismilLah.  Imam Muslim May ALLAH be pleased with him narrated that The Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: “He is successful who has accepted Islam, who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by ALLAH with what HE has given him. Nowadays when people say, ‘So so and so is very successful’ what they mean is, ‘He/she is making a lot of money or wealth.’ In the above-mentioned hadith ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) explains who qualifies to be called successful. It’s not having Car X, House in W and Job Z but rather anyone who accepts and practices Islam as His/her way of life. Someone who finds something to eat and is healthy and someone who Posses a thankful heart. We don’t believe that HE is The Provider, The Protector, The All-Wise, The Source of Peace, The Giver of Peace, Relief and Victory. It means you think ALLAH(Al-Mu'min, The Guardian of Faith) is not sufficient for you and that's SHIRK. That’s an essential point to remember as soon as one is hit with a hardship.
