Let's continue with our Tafseer of Aayatul KURSY.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a. 7th day of Swafar, 1445AH (Wednesday, 23rd August, 2023).

Let's continue with our Tafseer of Aayatul KURSY. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

 مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ

Meaning: Who is there who can intercede in HIS presence except as HE permit? This refers to an order and the way of this question is in the form of "Istifahm al-Inkari". This means that nobody can intercede in HIS presence except by HIS permission and will. The Mushrikeen used to think that their idols would intercede on their behalf, this is why ALLAH has explained that no intercession will work in HIS court except which HE permits. Whereas (Except which HE permits) refers to Intercession of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), intercession of some prophets, angels and intercession of some Momineen which they will do for some others

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْۖ

Meaning: HE knoweth what (appeareth to HIS creatures as) before or after or behind them.

This is proof of ALLAH’s knowledge to be encompassing all creations and worlds. The knowledge of past, present and future are included in this

 وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَآءَ

Meaning: Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. This refers to “Total comprehension” for example when someone gets knowledge of something’s existence, it's nature, quantity, “(DEEP) REALITY” and HE embeds this completely in his heart then it is called “total comprehension” this would mean that none can have “total comprehension” over Allah’s knowledge. (Except whom HE permits) refers to those things which ALLAH wants to reveal to HIS Prophets and Messengers, so that ALLAH grants them“FROM HIS KNOWLEDGE OF UNSEEN” which become proofs over their Prophethood.

وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَاتِ وَٱلأَرْضَ

This part means: HIS “Kursy” DOMINION extends over the heavens and the earth . As this verse mentions the word “Kursy” hence it has to be explained with caution so that it is clear that ALLAH’s dominion is understood without any comparison to creation such as chair.

Imam Ibn Kathir (rah) has narrated from Ibn Abbas (ra) that Kursy refers to “KNOWLEDGE” he has also narrated from same Ibn Abbas (ra) that Kursi refers to footstool.

It also states in Tafsir al Baghawi that Hasan Basri (rah) interpreted Kursy as “THRONE” and this is the translation taken by many translators. Whatever it is, it cannot be compared with any of HIS creation.

 وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا

(And HE feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them) means that ALLAH has no burden in preserving and managing whatever is in Heavens, worlds, KURSY and those who are inside KURSY (i.e. all dominion of Allah) all this does not cause any tiredness to ALLAAH

وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

(HE is the Most High, the Supreme) It is just like ALLAH said: …the Great, the High Exalted (13:9). Imam Ibn Kathir says: This Ayah and other such ayahs, plus the Sahih hadiths in which ALLAH’s Sifaat are to be taken as the righteous early Muslims (salaf) have taken them i.e. “LET THEM PASS AS THEY HAVE COME” without saying how they are meant and without making a comparison with (other creations). *_May ALLAH grant us understanding of the Quran_*. Aameen.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
