VOLUNTARY FASTING IS THE BEST FOR US

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 13th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Monday, 31st July, 2023).

*_VOLUNTARY FASTING IS THE BEST FOR US_*. BismilLah.

It's my hope that majority of us are fasting today and would continue tomorrow for the 3 white days of the month plus Thursday. We are in Muharram so do not miss any sunnah fast.

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may ALLAH be pleased with him that he said: the Messenger of ALLAH said: “ALLAH said: “I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of MINE. And the dearest things, with which My servant seeks proximity to ME, is what I have enjoined upon him; and MY servant keeps on coming closer to ME through supererogatory deeds till I love him. So I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, his sense of sight with which he sees, his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks ME, I will give him, and if he asks MY protection (Refuge), I will protect him (i.e. give him My Refuge)." [Reported by Al-Bukhari]  ALLAHU AKBAR.

Fasting is the dearest deed to ALLAH Almighty. HE says in a Prophetic Hadith: " Every (good) deed of the son of Adam would be multiplied, a good deed receiving a tenfold to seven hundredfold reward. ALLAH, the Exalted and Majestic, has said: With the exception of fasting, for if it is done for ME I will give a reward for it, for one abandons his passion and food for MY sake." [Reported by Muslim].

Aside the normal Monday's and Thursdays, we are encouraged to fast every 13th, 14th and 15th, the three white days on each islamic month which start today.

*_May ALLAH aid us through and protect us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
