The Holy Prophet declared that he was under obligation to no one other than Abu Bakr. The Holy Prophet also declared that all doors opening in the mosque should be closed except the door of the quarter of Abu Bakr. As regards the second point it has to be borne in mind that when Abu Bakr was elected as the Caliph, Islam was confined to Makkah, Madina, and Taif only, and in the rest of Arabia the tribes had risen against Islam. When barely two years later, Abu Bakr died, the whole of Arabia was in the fold of Islam and even Iraq and Syria had come under the domination of Islam. God chose the 'Ansars' as helpers, and it is but meet that they should continue to play thc role of helpers." Supporting him another Ansar leader Bashir bin Sa'd said: "O Ansars, if we have secured a position of superiority in holy wars against the polytheists and gained precedence in the matter of religion it was with the object of pleasing our Allah and obeying the Holy Prophet. It is not proper for us to make this a ground for self-aggrandizement. We should leave our reward to Allah. We must realize that the Holy Prophet came from the Quraish, and that the Quraish have the strongest claim for his succession. We should not quarrel with the Quraish on this issue”.

Yawm al-ithnayn. 28th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Monday 20th March 2023). *_ARE WE PLANNING TO HELP OTHERS FOR ALLAH SAKE IN THIS BLESSED MONTH OF RAMADHAN?_* BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH, Ramadhan may start on Wednesday or Thursday coming subject to moon sighting.  If you are blessed with wealth, good health, or knowledge, then we should acknowledge HIS blessing by sharing with those who are less fortunate. Some may need direct financial aid. Others may need guidance in the form of sound sincere advice. Others may need comfort and a good word. All are forms of Sadaqa that will count in our favour. Let's look into our relatives or family and help those who are certain to struggle in this blessed month.  As we strive to sight the moon tomorrow evening, I want to advise that wherever you are, respect and follow the decision of your central masjid imam or management so that with unity we can start with BismilLah and end with AlhamdulilLah. Let's strive to

 *BE BROTHERS* *"The Prophet (ﷺ) said:*  "Beware of suspicion, *for suspicion is the worst of false tales;* ...and do not look for the others' faults and *do not spy, and do not be jealous of one* another, and do not desert (cut your relation with) one *another, and do not hate one another; and*  O Allah's worshipers! *Be brothers (as Allah has ordered* you!")" [Bukhari 6064] ...oh honorable brothers, don't spy on your brothers nor look out for their mistake because you yearn *refutation,* ...do not cut relationship with your brothers because they hold different views with you in matters of *the Deen,* ...do not hate each other or wish evil towards him, or despise him because he erred in matters of the Deen! Yawmul Ahad. 27th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Sunday 19th March 2023). *_AS RAMADHAN APPROACHES, CAN I COOK FOR A HUSBAND WHO CHOOSES NOT TO FAST WITHOUT ANY VALID REASON BUT STILL CLAIMS HE IS A MUSLIM WITHOUT EVEN PRAYING_*. BismilLah.  A wife do not owe the duty of cooking or serving food or drink to her spouse who does not fast during the days of Ramadhan, if he does so without having any valid reason (of sickness, or old age) that would excuse him from fasting. Since we are not allowed to condone or help someone who is committing a sin by serving him food and drinks, you are also guilty of a sin if you do so. It is common knowledge in Islam that skipping fasts without valid reason of sickness and travelling difficulties due to old age is considered a cardinal sin  if a husband does not have valid excuses, not to fast.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YawmulJumuat. 25th day of Sha’abaan, 1444AH (Friday 17th March 2023). *_MISSING JUMUAT AND OFFERING ZUHUR SALAAT_*. BismilLah  AlhamdulilLah, for granting us another blessed day of the week. It's important we set our priorities this morning right before we leave our homes for our daily sustenance. We must have within our agenda the intention to go to the masjid for the jumuat salaat and, more importantly, get to the masjid early before the imam arrives. When you enter the masjid, offer your two rakaats greetings of the masjid, then sit down, reciting your suuratul kahf or salutations to the Prophet sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam till the imam comes. As soon as the imam says Assalaamu Alaikum warahmatullah and you respond, we are to listen to the imam silently without any act, or else we lose our share of the rewards of the jumuat. Switch off your phone and sit silently and attentively as if you are offering salaat. There is no specific dua when the imam
