Real Meaning of "Inna lillaahi wa innaa ilayhi Raaji'uun

 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 29th day of Jumaadal Aakhir, 1445AH (Thursday, 11th January 2024). *_Real Meaning of "Inna lillaahi wa innaa ilayhi Raaji'uun_*. Bismillah.

We say this statement when someone dies. Also, some of us may say this sentence when we lose something, suffer a setback or harm. But do you know what it means? Sure, everyone knows that it obviously means 'To ALLAH we belong and to HIM is our return.'

But that's not what I am talking about. I mean ….do you REALLY, TRULY understand these words and their implications in a Muslim's life? It means …whatever we have is not really ours. It belongs to ALLAH. Take a look around you; everything you see, all that you have and all that there is….in you, on you, around you….belongs to ALLAH, alone. Do you get that?

It is ALLAH who has given you all the property and goods you possess and that HE is the true owner of them all. So the cars that you own, the houses that you live in, and the businesses you possess all truly belong to ALLAH. The kids that HE blessed you with, the health that HE gave you, the time that HE has allowed you are all ALLAH'S property. Even the bodies we live in and the life that we have belong to ALLAH alone. ALLAH says;

"And to ALLAH belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth…." (Surah Aal-Imraan:180).

"The kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in them belongs to ALLAH. HE has power over all things." ( Surat al-Ma' ida: 120). Say: 'To ALLAH belongs the East and the West…' (Surah al-Baqarah:142). Now, since everything belongs to ALLAH, then we have to include even our souls in that list, right?

The very souls that we think of as our "self", our "nafs", our "being" -- whatever you want to call it -- that very thing that distinguishes you from the rest of the world, belongs to ALLAH It's not YOURS. In fact, YOU are not YOURS. You belong to ALLAH. This is the essence of the concept of slavery to ALLAH in Islam.

And since HE is the true Possessor of everything, and everything is HIS property, HE gives what HE wills to whomever HE wills…And then HE takes it away. After all, it was ALLAH'S to begin with. That's why it's common sense to make good use of whatever we have whilst alive purely to please ALLAH so that when your time comes, you've got enough savings with HIM because what you are leaving behind doesn’t belongs to you and those you acquired wrongly you even get punished for it whiles it becomes halaal for inheritance. ALLAHU AKBAR.

*_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increases us in beneficial knowledge_*. Aameen.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
