PREGNANT AND BREASTFEEDING WOMEN IN RELATION TO FASTING IN RAMADAN

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 23rd day of Shăbaan, 1440, (Monday, 29th April, 2019). *_PREGNANT AND BREASTFEEDING WOMEN IN RELATION TO FASTING IN RAMADAN_*. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

Its important to start reminding each other about Ramadan dos and dons from today in shaa ALLAH.
First of all, let me remind all that, a husband CANNOT fast to cover his wife's missed Ramadan fastings.

With regards to Breastfeeding mothers and also pregnant women, two scenarios may apply:

1. If the woman is not affected by fasting, and fasting is not too difficult for her, and she does not fear for her child, then she is obliged to fast, and it is not permissible for her not to fast.
2. If the woman fears for herself or her child because of fasting, and fasting is difficult for her, then she is allowed not to fast, but she has to make up the days that she does not fast after Ramadan.

In this situation it is better for her not to fast, and it is makrooh or descouraged for her to fast. Some of the scholars stated that if she fears for her child, it is obligatory for her not to fast and it is haraam for her to fast.

ALLAH says concerning one who is sick;
“and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Sawm (fasts) must be made up] from other days”[al-Baqarah 2:185].

Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers come under the same heading as those who are sick.
It's not required for Pregnant or Breastfeeding mothers who fear or been advised not to fast by a doctor to feed the poor person in place of fasting. Even if you feed the poor, you must still fast after Ramadan whenever possible to cover the missed days. A husband has no right to order his wife not to fast if she feels she can fast even if during early pregnancy. Fasting does not cause miscarriage or any harm to pregnancy or breastfeeding unless those who are sick or struggle during pregnancy who is granted leave not to fast.
If you still owe some days in previous Ramadan, you still must fast all those days after this coming Ramadan. It becomes an accomulated debts to fast whenever possible as feeding the poor does not cover missed Ramadan fastings except for old age people who cannot fast again till death or those with illness without any hope of recovery till death. They can feed the poor in place of fasting each day per each missed days if they can afford if not their relatives can pay to feed the poor on their behalf.

*_May ALLAH keep guiding us and bless us to be part of those who fast in Ramadan_*. Aameen.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
