Prophet Nuh called out to his people to believe in one creator for over 900 years but only a few believed him. Nuh was still patient.
Sometimes we call someone to the truth, or we want our friends, family members, children to stay on the right path. Suddenly we become angry and stopped calling them. How impatient is that... š Prophet Nuh called for 900 years but had less than 200 followers. So when you call out to people be patient and pray for them. It is Allah who guides.
Another important lesson.
When Prophet Nuh was asked by Allah to build an Ark or ship š³. He was specifically told to build it on land not on the river bank. However the people of Nuh who disbelieved kept laughing at him and they said only a man carpenter can build such a massive ark on land.
What happened next? When Allah descended his wrath on them the entire city was consumed by water. Water was gushing out from beneath and from above. Suddenly the ship that was on land moments ago is now swimming on top of water.
So the big lesson here this: sometimes Allah will give certain instructions. Whether we understand why they were given or not we must obey and follow them. We must not understand everything. A true believer in Allah will follow every instruction whether he understands or not. If Nuh had questioned Allah, or disobeyed Allah, the ship might have been destroyed on the river bank. Despite his ignorance to why he must build it on land, he still continued without question.
We are told to pray, to put on hijab, to avoid zina etc. We argue, we disobey. Brothers and sisters be careful. Every instruction has a meaning, just obey and you shall enter into paradise insha Allah.
