*Three Daughters* *On Eid this year, I gifted my three girls this personalised wall art set with their names and the Hadith of the prophet (s):* *“Whoever has three daughters and he accommodates them, shows mercy towards them and supports them; then they will be his shield from the hellfire on the day of resurrection”* 🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽 *We put these up on the wall that seperates their rooms; so they see it all the time and are reminded of the honour it is for us, their parents, to have them and their status in Islam.* ❤ *When people ask me how many kids I have and I tell them “3 girls”; it’s (still) almost always followed by an awkward pause, a delayed “Aww mashallah” or “Try for a boy”… a new one the other day said “How sad for your husband he doesn’t have anyone to play football with”, to which I replied “Don’t worry, he doesn’t play football.”* 🤣🤣 *I hope my girls grow up in a time where they don’t hear such comments, it reminds me of the days of Jahilyah…and those days are scary...
