Three Daughters

*Three Daughters* *On Eid this year, I gifted my three girls this personalised wall art set with their names and the Hadith of the prophet (s):* *“Whoever has three daughters and he accommodates them, shows mercy towards them and supports them; then they will be his shield from the hellfire on the day of resurrection”* 🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽 *We put these up on the wall that seperates their rooms; so they see it all the time and are reminded of the honour it is for us, their parents, to have them and their status in Islam.* ❤ *When people ask me how many kids I have and I tell them “3 girls”; it’s (still) almost always followed by an awkward pause, a delayed “Aww mashallah” or “Try for a boy”… a new one the other day said “How sad for your husband he doesn’t have anyone to play football with”, to which I replied “Don’t worry, he doesn’t play football.”* 🤣🤣 *I hope my girls grow up in a time where they don’t hear such comments, it reminds me of the days of Jahilyah…and those days are scary as…

Imitating The Other Nations

*Imitating The Other Nations*  Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, *"You will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, span by span and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch) so much so that even if they entered a hole of a mastigure, you would follow them." We said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! (Do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?" He said, "Whom else?"* 📚 [Sahih Bukhari 7320] ⁉️ When we read this Hadith we must examine ourselves that on what occasions do we imitate the non muslims and polytheists, either it's wishing the new year or celebrating it, celebrating the Birthday, Mother's or Father's day, Valentine's day, and even at the marriage ceremonies and other occasions, imitation and following the foot steps of disbelievers, or correspondence to them in dressing and so on. The muslims who are following the foot steps of these non muslims, this hadith of Prophet (ﷺ) is enough for them: *«مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ

DON'T BE SAD Episode 54 DO NOT FEEL SAD OVER FEARS FOR WHAT MAY HAPPEN

﷽ *DON'T BE SAD* Episode 54 *DO NOT FEEL SAD OVER FEARS FOR WHAT MAY HAPPEN* In the Torah, the following has been related: "Most of what is feared to occur, never happens!" This means that most apprehensions and fears of impending difficulty fail to take shape in reality. Conjectures of the mind are far greater in number and in scope than the things that actually happen in life. An Arab poet said: "I said to my heart when it was attacked by a fit of anxiety, be happy, because most fears are false." This implies that if you hear of an impending calamity, or hear of oncoming disaster, don't be overly alarmed, especially since the majority of predictions about impending harm are false. Surah Ghafir, Verse 44: فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ "And you will remember what I am telling you, and my affair I leave it to Allah. Verily, Allah is the All-Seer of (His) slaves." Surah Ghafir

﷽ *300 MIRACLES OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ* Number 27.  *A wolf testified about the Messenger of Allah's Prophethood to a shepherd outside the city of Madinah, who consequently went to accept Islam at his blessed hands.* • Narrated Sayyidina Unais bin 'Amr: Sayyidina Ahban bin Aus said, "I was amongst my sheep. Suddenly a wolf caught a sheep and I shouted at it. The wolf sat on its tail and addressed me, saying, 'Who will look after it (i.e. the sheep) when you will be busy and not able to look after it? Do you forbid me the provision which Allah has provided me?' Sayyidina Ahban added, "I clapped my hands and said, 'By Allah, I have never seen anything more curious and wonderful than this (that a wolf can speak like a human being)!' On that, the wolf said, 'There is something (more curious) and wonderful than this; that is, Allah's Apostle in those palm trees, inviting people to Allah (i.e. Islam).'" Surah At-Taubah, Verse 77/78

So He punished them by putting hypocrisy into their hearts till the Day whereon they shall meet Him, because they broke that (covenant with Allah) which they had promised Him and because they used to tell lies. #COMMENTARY If men are false to their covenants and words, the natural consequence will be hypocrisy to cover their falsehood. Such consequences will last till the Day of Judgement, when they will have to account for their deeds. They may think that they are deceiving men by their hypocrisy, but they cannot deceive ALLĀH, to Whom all their most secret thoughts and plots and doings are known. Know they not that Allah knows their secret ideas, and their Najwa (secret counsels), and that Allah

ISLAM, THE MODERN BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO LIFE

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn, 19th day of Shawwal (Monday 31st May 2021). *_ISLAM, THE MODERN BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO LIFE_*. BismilLah.  Some people think that to live an Islamic life is "restrictive". Islam however, was revealed as a balanced way of living. ALLAH (The Most High) created all the humans with what is called 'A Fitrah' (a natural state/desire). Islam recognises that within this Fitrah there are motivations that influence a man's role on earth e.g. a desire for good food and drink, to have a home, a desire for love, to protect and be protected and to be successful and strong. Without some form of control and limit, all of these legitimate motives could prove very dangerous. So what constitutes the perfect control for the Fitrah? It must be a method that provides an organised yet practical demonstration of how to balance all these natural human desires. It cannot be something that goes against the Fitrah, by placing on it extra burdens.

REMINDER FOR SUNNĀH FASTING!

﷽ *REMINDER FOR SUNNĀH FASTING!* Tomorrow is Monday. Please, endeavour to fast and remind others. Fasting twice a week (i.e Monday and Thursday) helps keep our faith strong and our desires under control. It also keeps us more conscious of Allāh (Sub-haanahu wata'aala). This is the formula for success given to us by our beloved prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). ✔️'Ā'ishah (R.A.) said, "The Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him) used to take care to fast on Mondays and Thursdays." (at-Tirmidhi) May Allāh (Sub-haanahu wata'aala) make it easy for us and accept it as an act of Ibadah (worship). May He also guide us through our little efforts and answer our positive prayers only if what we request will be of benefit to us both Here and the Hereafter. Ameen

The dangers of Zina

*The dangers of Zina:* Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “Another of the effects of zina is that zina leads to cutting the ties of kinship, disobedience towards parents, haram earnings, mistreating others, neglect of one's wife and children, and it may even lead a person to shed blood unlawfully.  He may seek help to commit zina by means of sihr (witchcraft) and shirk, and he may or may not know that this sin inevitably includes other sins committed beforehand or alongside it, and that it leads to other kinds of sins that come after it.  It is surrounded by a host of other sins that come before and after. It is the thing that is most likely to bring about evil in this world and the Hereafter, and the most likely to prevent good in this world and in the Hereafter.  If a person falls into its traps and snares, it will be hard for sincere people to save him and for doctors to treat him; its prisoner cannot easily be ransomed, and its victim cannot be rescued. It also leads to the loss of

DON'T BE SAD Episode 53 GRIEVE NOT OVER BEING POOR

﷽ *DON'T BE SAD* Episode 53 *GRIEVE NOT OVER BEING POOR* The more the body enjoys, the more the soul become sullied, and there is safety in having little. Taking only that which you need from this world is an early comfort that Almighty ALLĀH bestows upon those whom He pleases among His slaves. Surah Maryam, Verse 40: إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ الْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ Verily! We will inherit the earth and whatsoever is thereon. And to Us they all shall be returned, One poet said: "Water, bread, and shade, These form a most worthy bliss, I have denied the favours of my Lord, If I said that I had too little." What in this world is truly important, but cold water, warm bread, and plentiful shade!

300 MIRACLES OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ* Number 26. *A ditch of fire appeared before Abu Jahl when he resolved to attack the Beloved Messenger of Allah whilst he prayed.

﷽ *300 MIRACLES OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ* Number 26.  *A ditch of fire appeared before Abu Jahl when he resolved to attack the Beloved Messenger of Allah whilst he prayed.* • Sayyidina Abu Hurayrah that Abu Jahl said, "Does Muhammad cover his face with dust  (i.e., from prostration) while he is among you all?'' The people replied, "Yes.'' Then he  said, "By al-Lat and al-Uzza, if I see him praying like this, I will stomp on his neck, and I will certainly put his face in the dust.'' So the Messenger of Allah came and he began  praying, which made it possible for Abu Jahl to stomp on his neck. The people became  surprised at Abu Jahl because he began retreating on his heels and covering himself with his hands. Then it was said to him, "What's the matter with you?'' He replied, "Verily,  between me and him is a ditch of fire, monsters and wings.'' Then the Messenger of Allah said, “If he had come near me, the angels would

AQEEQAH, THE SUNNAH WAY

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 18th day of Shawwal (Sunday 30th May 2021). *_AQEEQAH, THE SUNNAH WAY_*. BismilLah.  Aqeeqah is a confirmed Sunnah. If the guardian of the child is capable of slaughtering two sheep for a baby boy and one sheep for a female child, he should do so. The Prophet said: “A baby is being pledged for his ‘Aqeeqah, sacrifice is made for him on the seventh day, his head is shaved, and a name is given to him.” If one cannot slaughter on the seventh day, one may slaughter on the fourteenth day, or on the twenty-first day. If one is not capable of doing so, then one may slaughter any time before the puberty of the child. After puberty, the person should slaughter for himself/herself. The recommended acts related to the newborn baby are as follows: First, one proclaims the Azan (prayer call) in the baby's ear as narrated by Al-Tirmizi and Abu Daawud that Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) proclaimed the Azan in the ear of Al Ha

IMPORTANCE OF BASMALAH (saying: Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem OR BismilLah)

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 17th day of Shawwal (Saturday 29th May 2021). *_IMPORTANCE OF BASMALAH (saying: Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem OR BismilLah)_*. BismilLah.  The Holy Messenger for Mankind Muhammad(sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is reported to have said: "Any action of importance not begun with basmalah(BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem) is devoid of blessing and therefore incomplete." The basmalah begins the Surah al-Fatihah and therefore opens the whole Quran.  The Almighty describes HIMSELF by means of HIS Attributes. The Attributes of ALLAH are a means of us becoming knowledgeable about HIM. ALLAH , in this respect, does not only introduce the Quran but HE also introduces HIMSELF. The basmalah is an invocation of the Divine Being by HIS supreme Name (ALLAH), followed by two of HIS most beautiful names (Al-Rahman and Al-Rahim), which are in fact two of His principal Divine attributes, The Most Merciful to all HIS creation and especially Merciful to those am

How To Raise And Discipline Boys

*💎How To Raise And Discipline Boys💎* By Ibn al-Jawzi Rahimahullah   (d. 597H)  THE best of discipline is that which is done at a young age. If a child is left to his own characteristics and he or she matures into an adult possessing those characteristics, changing the person would be difficult. A poet said: “If you straighten the branches they will straighten up, But wood does not soften if you amend it. Discipline benefits children gradually, But it will not benefit those who have aged.” Being perseverant in discipline is important, particularly with regard to children, as it benefits them and doing good becomes a habit. A poet said: "Do not neglect disciplining a child, Even if he complains of the pain of exhaustion." Know that a doctor considers the age of the patient, as well as his place and time before prescribing the medicine best suited for him. Likewise, discipline should be suited to each child, and signs of the success or failure of a child can be noticed from a

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 16th day of Shawwal (Friday 28th May 2021). *_LET'S BE MINDFUL OF THE LAST VERSE OF THE QUR'AN REVEALED TO MANKIND FROM THE CREATOR_*. BismilLah.  In Quran 2:281 ALLAH says; Tafsir ibn kathir;  *_And have Taqwa (Fear or mindful) for the Day when you shall be brought back to ALLAH_*. *_Then every person shall be paid what he earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly_*. Reminder

Reminder Be careful of the company you keep. When you surround yourself with people who constantly blame others, criticize, gossip, backbite and complain about everything & everyone, you’re slowly poisoning your mind & your life with their fears, doubts, and negativity.  Break the cycle!

Reminder

Reminder *✍️With your trying, you'll never regret your efforts to become a good person. You might have been born with distasteful qualities like easily furious, arrogant, pride, jealous, discouraged, poor, low class, vulgar etc. Revisit them and reform for the sake of Allah. Remember the evil we're taught to refrained from is affecting only us. You won't be blamed for that which you cannot change as a test for you or which perhaps is better for you without your knowledge. May Allah grant us patience with which we can't change and avert us from bad qualities which affects only us.'🌺🌺🌺* Ameen

DON'T BE SAD Episode 50 *GRIEVE NOT OVER UNWORTHY THINGS

﷽ *DON'T BE SAD* Episode 50 *GRIEVE NOT OVER UNWORTHY THINGS* By being unconcerned over trifles, you display a virtue that will bring you happiness, for the one who is lofty in his aims is engrossed only with concern for the Hereafter. One of our pious predecessors advised one of his brothers with the following words, "Be concerned about this only: about meeting ALLĀH, about standing in front of Him, and about the Hereafter." Surah Al-Haaqqa, Verse 18: يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. There is not a single worry of concern whose significance is not diminished when it is compared to the concerns of the Hereafter. What are the worries of this life? They are status, prestige, fame, income, wealth, mansions and children. They are all nothing when compared to the accountability before ALLĀH! ALLĀH described His enemies, the hypocrites, by saying: Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 154:

GOOD CHARACTER IS PART OF OUR IDENTITY AS SERVANTS OF ALLAAH

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 15th day of Shawwal (Thursday 27th May 2021). *_GOOD CHARACTER IS PART OF OUR IDENTITY AS SERVANTS OF ALLAAH_*. BismilLah.  It is upon us as individuals, to examine the shortcomings in our character, and to then seek to improve them - modeling ourselves upon the character of the last of the Prophets and Messengers, and their leader, Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), aspiring also for the excellence which he mentioned in his saying: "I am a guarantor for a house on the outskirts of Paradise for whosoever leaves off arguing, even if he is in the right; and a house in the center of Paradise for whosoever abandons falsehood, even when joking; and a house in the upper-most part of Paradise for whosoever makes his character good." Today's Beautiful reminder is about Allah's Mercy.

Today's Beautiful reminder is about Allah's Mercy... 😍  Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): I heard Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) saying, "Before Allah created the creations, He wrote a Book (wherein He has written): My Mercy has preceded my Anger." and that (Book) is written with Him over the Throne." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 9, Book 97, Hadith 178) This beautiful Hadith highlights how you should never think Allah (SWT) will not forgive you. He is all Merciful. Nothing that you have done is beyond forgiveness. Don't ever think you've ventured so far from the right path that you can't turn back and come to it. Just turn to Allah with sincere repentance, ask for forgiveness and guidance. You will not be left disappointed Insha'Allah!

Importance of Amanah (keeping promise)

Importance of Amanah (keeping promise) Amanah is an Arabic word that literally means trust, loyalty, trustworthiness, reliability and faithfulness. In general, it means trusting a person about some matter and fulfilling or upholding the trust. Amanah is the moral responsibility of fulfilling one's obligations properly. It is an important aspect of a Muslim's life. Allah (SWT) commanded us strictly to fulfil Amanah properly. He says: "Surely Allah commands you to make over trusts to their owners and that when you judge between people you judge with justice; surely Allah admonishes you with what is excellent; surely Allah is Seeing, Hearing." (Sura Nisa 4:58). The first Amanah we are entrusted with is to be a true worshipper of Allah (SWT) and to live in this world by obeying Allah's laws and commands. Allah says: "O you, who believe, do not betray (the Amanah or trust of) Allah and His Messenger, and do not knowingly violate your trusts." (Sura Anfal: 27

REMINDER

*REMINDER* *When you feel sad after you’ve sinned or done wrong, be happy because your heart is not dead. It’s a gift from the Almighty to be able to tell right from wrong. Beware the dead heart that is numb; it keeps sinning repeatedly and doesn’t feel an iota of guilt!* *You have a choice. You can either stress over what you’re going through or you can do your best given the circumstances and pray for the best outcome. What’s done is done. Pray about it. Think About This.

*Think About This...* *If you don’t want to be disappointed, keep this in mind. Be prepared to have the most unexpected people let you down. It’s bound to happen at some stage. Amid all this, be yourself and spread goodness as much as possible but don’t expect goodness from everyone.* *Those who succeed eventually are the ones who don’t get discouraged when things don’t work out initially. They know the Almighty’s in control. They don’t allow a setback to bother them. They trust that it’s His way of setting them up for something bigger and better!* *Don't take anything for granted because you never know when you'll have it for the last time. Life is a precious gift, cherish every moment. It’s truly such a blessing to be alive and to be able to impact so many lives. You’ll never know whose life you’re touching.* *It's a fact that some people just won’t like you or appreciate you. That’s okay. You don’t need people’s approval to fulfill what the Almighty has decreed for you.
