Tahajjud and it benefit.
ALHAMDULILLAH, tahajjud is a sunnah prayer which the prophet pbuh used to do even outside Ramadhan.
Allah s.w.t promised to give the prophet pbuh a rank called maqaamam mahmuudan(the station of praiseworthy).
Allah says,
Al-Isra' 17:79
And from [part of] the night, pray with it [i.e., recitation of the Quran] as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.
The tahajjud in ramadhan is of great virtue especially the last ten days to raise up at a part of night and pray.
The prophet pbuh spoke of the virtue of it.
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to commend prayer at night during Ramadan, but did not command it as duty. He would say: If anyone prays during the night in Ramadan because of faith and seeking his reward from Allah, his previous sins will be forgiven for him. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died, this was the practice, and it continued thus during Abu Bakr's caliphate and early part of 'Umar's. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by 'Uqail, Yunus, and Abu Uwais in like manner. The version of 'Uqail goes: He who fasts during Ramadan and prays during the night.
Sunan Abi Dawud 1371.
Anyone who spends the night in Ramadhan praying for the sake of Allah and hoping reward from him alone without riyaa', then all his past sins will be forgiven.
What we need to know is when we are going for tahajjud we should purify our intention not to go for selfies, fashion, boast or because our friends are going or else we will not gain the reward but sleepless night.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
There are people who fast and get nothing from their fast except hunger, and there are those who pray and get nothing from their prayer but a sleepless night.”
Sunan bin majah.

May Allah purify our intentions. Aamin
