A Letter for You*

*A Letter for You* ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم Today is Friday. But did you know that in the sight of Allah, this day has another name? Our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us that this day is called Yawmul Mazid—which means the Day of Extra Increases. Yes! This is the day when Allah (swt) gives extra blessings, extra mercy, and extra rewards. It is a special market day. But it is not a market for buying food or clothes. No. It is a market for shopping for your Hereafter—the life that will begin immediately the moment you are placed in your grave. So today, as you go about your business, remember: you have a chance to buy something that will never spoil, never finish, and will light your way in the darkness of the grave. My People, Listen carefully. Whether the economy is hard or soft, there is something we must never ignore. Look at our houses. When something is spoiled in our house, we fix it. When something is needed for the smooth running of our home, ...

SPENDING FOR ALLĀH’S SAKE

FAJR REMINDER: SPENDING FOR ALLĀH’S SAKE By: Umm Affān Shawwāl 10, 1447 (29-March-2026) The fourth of the four acts through which we can attain Allāh’s Love—mentioned in the Ḥadīth of Mu’ādh Ibn Jabal (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu)—is SPENDING ON ONE ANOTHER FOR ALLĀH’S SAKE. Allāh, out of His immense Mercy, has made it binding upon Himself to love those who give to others purely for His Sake. This kind of spending is not just about giving, it reflects true generosity and sincerity. It is when a person gives selflessly, seeking nothing in return—not praise, not recognition, but only the Pleasure of Allāh. Such giving nurtures compassion within the heart and strengthens the bond within the community. Allāh describes the righteous (Al-Abrār), who feed the needy, the orphan, and the captive, (whenever they feed them) they intend: “We feed you seeking Allāh's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you.” [Sūrah Al-Insān (76): 9] When a person gives with such pure intention, it n...

VISITING ONE ANOTHER FOR ALLĀH’S SAKE

FAJR REMINDER: VISITING ONE ANOTHER FOR ALLĀH’S SAKE By: Umm Affān Shawwāl 7, 1447 (26-March-2026) In continuation of our discussion on the four actions through which one attains Allāh’s Love—as mentioned by the Prophet (ﷺ) in the Ḥadīth of Mu’ādh Ibn Jabal (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu)—we now turn to the third: VISITING ONE ANOTHER FOR THE SAKE OF ALLĀH. This noble act holds a special place in Islām. Allāh has made it binding upon Himself to love the one who visits another purely for His Sake—free from worldly motives such as business interests or personal gain. Abū Hurayrah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: “A man set out to visit his brother from another town and Allāh sent an Angel to him. When the man met the Angel, he was asked, ‘Where are you going?’ The man said, ‘I am visiting my brother in this town.’ The Angel said, ‘Are you returning a favor?’ He said, ‘No, only that I love him for the Sake of Allāh, the Exalted.’ The Angel said, ‘I am a messenge...

TAFSEER OF SUURAH ASH-SHAMS (Qur’an 91), WITH SOME PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR OUR DAILY LIFE_*. BismilLah.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 6th day of Shaw'waal, 1447AH. TAFSEER OF SUURAH ASH-SHAMS (Qur’an 91), WITH SOME PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR OUR DAILY LIFE_*. BismilLah.  This suurah was revealed in Makkah during a time when the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was calling people to Tawheed (belief in One GOD) and moral accountability.  This suurah focuses on: 1. The purification of our soul. 2. The struggle between good and evil within الإنسان (the human being). A powerful historical example is the people of Thamud who rejected their Prophet Swalih (عليه السلام). 👉 The Quraysh were denying the truth, so ALLAH reminds them: Just as past nations were destroyed for corruption of their souls. Every person is responsible for purifying their own soul. This suurah is a powerful reminder that we are responsible for our soul, we either elevate it… or destroy it. To be continued tomorrow with the meanings and commentary of each verse in Shaa ALLAH.  *_May ALLAH Azzawajal p...

Khalid & Scorpion

*Khalid & Scorpion* ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم Every single day, we fight sleep, fight tiredness. We do it for an appointment with someone - maybe for a job, a flight or for business. We do this even with a headache, fever, and even when our body begs for rest. We do not complain. Why? Because that appointment is important to us. Now, Answer this: What is more important than an appointment with the King of all Kings? The Owner of the Heavens and the Earth? Let me tell you a true story about a man who understood this. Five years ago, A man called Khalid travelled to a village far from the city. At night, a very big scorpion stung him. The pain was terrible. There was no hospital. No doctor. He had to find herbal medicine in another village. That night, the pain was so strong he could not sleep. His body was on fire. But when the time for Tahajjud came, he moved. He made dry ablution. He could not stand, so he sat down. In great pain, he prayed two rakaats. He ma...

SITTING TOGETHER FOR HIS SAKE

FAJR REMINDER: SITTING TOGETHER FOR HIS SAKE By: Umm Affān Shawwāl 6, 1447 (25-March-2026) A few days ago, I mentioned a Ḥadīth in which the Prophet (ﷺ) highlighted four actions through which a servant can attain the Love of Allāh. I have already discussed the first, and today I will focus on the second: SITTING TOGETHER FOR ALLĀH’S SAKE. Indeed, Allāh’s Love is guaranteed for those who gather solely for His Sake—not for business dealings, political discussions, social engagements, idle talk, or worldly chatter. Rather, their coming together is driven by a sincere desire to please Him. Allāh says: “There is no good in most of their secret talks save (in) him who orders Ṣadaqah (charity in Allāh’s Cause), or Ma’rūf (Islāmic Monotheism and all the good and righteous deeds which Allāh has ordained), or conciliation between mankind, and he who does this, seeking the good Pleasure of Allāh, We shall give him a great reward.” [Sūrah An-Nisā‘ (4): 114] Sitting together for Allāh’s Sake m...
