TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-BALAD (QUR'AN 90) continues

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 13th day of Shaw'waal, 1447AH. Wednesday, 1st April, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-BALAD (QUR'AN 90) continues_*. BismilLah. 


Let's continue from yesterday's reminder with our studies of suurah al-Balad. 

8. أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ عَيْنَيْنِ

Have WE not given him two eyes?

9. وَلِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيْنِ

And a tongue and two lips?

10. وَهَدَيْنَاهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ

And shown him the two paths?

Commentary (8–10):

ALLAH reminds us of HIS blessings: Sight, Speech, Guidance between right and wrong Yet many still choose wrongly.

11. فَلَا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَ

But he has not attempted the steep path. Commentary:

The “steep path” is the path of righteousness—it requires effort, sacrifice, and sincerity.

12. وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْعَقَبَةُ

And what will make you know what the steep path is?

13. فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ

It is freeing a slave

14. أَوْ إِطْعَامٌ فِي يَوْمٍ ذِي مَسْغَبَةٍ

Or feeding on a day of hunger

15. يَتِيمًا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ

An orphan near of kin

16. أَوْ مِسْكِينًا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍ

Or a poor person in distress

Commentary (13–16):

The “steep path” includes:

Helping others, Feeding the hungry

Supporting orphans and the poor

This is real righteousness—not just words. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
