BEAUTY OF THE PEOPLE OF JANNAH

FAJR REMINDER: BEAUTY OF THE PEOPLE OF JANNAH

By: Umm Affān

Dhū al-Qa'dah 5, 1447 (23-April-2026)

One of the beautiful realities of Jannah (Paradise) is that its people will not enter it in the weak and imperfect state in which we are in this worldly life. Rather, they will enter in the most complete, beautiful, and perfect form.

The people of Jannah will be taller and bigger than we are today. They will be recreated in the form of our father, Ādam (‘Alayhi Salām), who was given a magnificent stature. Abū Hurayrah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) narrated: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Allāh created Ādam, making him 60 cubits tall... Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Ādam (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Ādam's creation.” [Ṣaḥiḥ al-Bukhārī 3326]

This shows that the people of Paradise will return to a noble and perfected form. Regarding the statement of the Prophet (ﷺ), “People have been decreasing in stature since Ādam's creation,” al-Ḥafiẓ Ibn Ḥajar (Raḥimahullāh) explained: “This means that in every generation people grew shorter than the previous generation, and continued to grow shorter until the time of this Ummah, then they stayed like that.” [Fatḥ-ul-Bārī 6/367]

Likewise, the people of Paradise will enter with beauty, youth, and strength. They will not be old, weak, or exhausted by the burdens of life. They will all be in the prime of youth, at the age of thirty-three, with bright and beautiful appearances. Mu’ādh Ibn Jabal (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The people of Paradise will enter Paradise with smooth and hairless skin, kohl upon their eyes, at thirty or thirty-three years of age.” [Sunan At-Tirmidhī 2545]

This makes one reflect deeply—what is the need for people to dangerously chase worldly beauty standards such as skin whitening here, when true perfection and lasting beauty are only in Jannah?

In Paradise, there will be no sickness, weakness, aging, or decline. Its people will not grow old, nor will beauty fade away. Rather, they will continue to increase in beauty and excellence. Anas Ibn Mālik (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) narrated: Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Verily, there is a market in Paradise to which the people will come every Friday. The wind will scatter fragrance on their faces and clothes and will increase their excellence and beauty. They will return to their families after having been increased in excellence and beauty and they will say: By Allāh, we have seen you increased in excellence and beauty! They will say to them: By Allāh, you as well have increased in excellence and beauty!” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2833]

These are matters of the Ghayb (the unseen), and as believers, we are commanded to believe in them with certainty and submission. Since these reports are authentically established from the Prophet (ﷺ), there should be no room for doubt in our hearts. A person should never reject a matter of the unseen simply because their mind cannot fully grasp it. Our limited understanding does not make a proven truth false. What matters is that Allāh and His Messenger (ﷺ) have informed us of it.

So let us work sincerely for Jannah, because when we enter it, we shall witness these realities with our own eyes.

I beseech Allāh to make us among the people of Jannah. Aameen.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
