Let's continue with our studies of suurah Al-Burūj.  

Verses 4–8

قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ

وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ

وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَن يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ

Destroyed were the people of the ditch, The fire full of fuel, When they sat around it, Watching what they were doing to the believers, And they resented them only because they believed in ALLAH, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.

Commentary: here is a curse upon the oppressors. The tyrants sat and watched calmly, showing extreme cruelty.

The believers were punished for one reason only: faith in ALLAH.

This highlights a timeless reality: truth is often opposed, not because it is wrong, but because it is right. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
