بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Islam is a faith of ease. It is flexible, kind, and full of mercy. In fact, Islam is mercy for the whole world. And the biggest proof of that mercy is the Quran.

The Quran is Allah’s greatest gift to us. No other book is like it. It teaches us how to be good people. When life feels too hard, when you are sad, sick, or tired—the Quran lights your way. It makes your burdens lighter. It is a source of comfort and ease.

Now, here comes the mind-blowing part.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) once said to his companions: “Gather around, and I will recite to you one-third of the Quran.”

Everyone rushed to gather. They were excited to hear so much of the Quran at once. Then the Prophet (pbuh) came out… and he recited just one short chapter. Just three lines. Surah Al-Ikhlas:

“Qul hu-wallaahu ‘Ahad.

Allahus-Samad. Lam yalid wa lam yoolad.

Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ‘ahad.”

Then he went back inside.

The companions were confused. They whispered, “Maybe news from heaven came down, so he had to go back in?”

But then the Prophet (pbuh) came out again and said: “I told you I would recite one-third of the Quran. And indeed, this chapter (Surah Al-Ikhlas) is equal to one-third of the Quran!”

My People,

Think about that. Reciting this small chapter once is like reciting one-third of the entire Quran.

Now, here is the mercy and the mind-blowing ease:

(1) You can recite it inside your prayer (swalah). At least, in every rakaat, you can recite any chapter from the Qur'an, then add suratul ikhlas in the end to grab the bonanza.

(2) You can recite it outside prayer — while driving, cooking, walking, or lying in bed.

(3) You can recite it with or without ablution (wudu) . Yes! Even without being in a state of purification. Because the Prophet (pbuh) would remember Allah at all times.

So what is stopping you?

You don’t need hours. You don’t need a special place. You don’t even need to be clean in the ritual sense. Just move your tongue and say:

“Qul hu-wallaahu ‘Ahad.

Allahus-Samad. Lam yalid wa lam yoolad.

Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ‘ahad.”

That’s it.

In 5 seconds, you just earned the reward of one-third of the Quran.

Islam is merciful. Allah (swt) made it easy for you. Don’t leave this treasure empty. Start today. Start now. Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas and fill your scale of good deeds like never before.
