*Friend of Angels*
------------------بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم
Imagine this.
Every night, when you wake up for midnight prayer (Tahajjud), the angels in heaven see you. They know your name. They see your huge effort to defeating your desires for sleeping. The effort many Muslims have swept inside carpet.
Now, imagine one night you cannot wake up for Tahajjud. Maybe you are very very sick. Or you are on a long journey. It is a real excuse.
That night, the angels will look for you. They will notice you are missing. One of the angels will say, "Where is our friend today?"
And then, all the angels will say together: "Write his/her name in the attendance register! Mark him/her as present!"
Yes. They will write your name as if you were there, praying.
Why?
Because you have made Tahajjud a habit.
People who miss Tahajjud without convincing valid reasons will not enjoy this.
This is why,
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: *"If a person falls ill or travels, he shall be credited with whatever good deeds he used to perform while at home and in good health."* 📚Sahih/Authentic. - [Al-Bukhari]
This means:
If you make Tahajjud your HABIT, your reward never stops.
Sick? You get the full reward.
Traveling? You get the full reward.
Simply too exhausted and your body fails you once in a blue moon? With a sincere heart, you still get the reward.
In fact,
Allah is not just rewarding your prayer. He is rewarding your HABIT. Yes. He is rewarding your RELIABLE love for that special time with Him.
This reminds me,
This happened eight years ago. My childhood friend's father was very, very sick. He was taken to the hospital. He fell into a coma. This means he was in a deep, deep sleep and could not wake up. He was like this for three days.
Four different expert doctors worked on him. But they could not wake him up. But something amazing happened while he was in this deep sleep. It shocked all the doctors.
Even though the old man was unconscious and could not move or speak, something happened every night. On the first day, at exactly 2 AM, the doctors saw him moving his fingers and lips. It looked like someone counting prayers on their fingers after praying. He kept doing this until 3 AM, and then he stopped. The same thing happened on the second night and the third night.
The doctors were confused. They asked his children, "Why does your father move his fingers and lips from 2 AM to 3 AM every night, even in a coma?"
The children gave a simple reason. They said: "For many, many years, 2 AM to 3 AM is the time our father always woke up to pray Tahajjud."
Allahu Akbar! (God is the Greatest!)
My People,
For the rest of your life, embrace this secret. Don't miss waking up for Tahajjud for any reason. Yes. Wake up. Talk to Allah. Ask Him for everything. Feel His peace.
This is the most beautiful deal you will ever get. Don't let it pass you by. Your name is being called in the highest place. Don't miss the roll call.
