Yaum As-sabt | 1st day of Dhul-Qa'dah, 1447 AH | Saturday, 18th April 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH Al-A‘LAA (Qur’an 87) continues_*. BismilLah. 


Let's continue with our studies of suurah  Al-A‘laa.

Verse 15

وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ

And remembers the Name of his Lord and prays. Dhikr and Salah are keys to success and closeness to ALLAH Azzawajal.

Verse 16

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

But you prefer the worldly life.

A criticism of those who prioritize dunya over akhirah.

Verse 17

وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ

While the Hereafter is better and more lasting. The akhirah is eternal and far superior to temporary worldly life.

Verse 18

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ

Indeed, this is in the former scriptures. The message is not new—it has always been taught.

Verse 19

صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ

The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musah. This connects Islam with earlier revelations, emphasizing one consistent message. Alhamdulillah. To be continued tomorrow with some practical Lessons.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
