TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-FAJR (Qur'an, Chapter 89).

*_TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-FAJR (Qur'an, Chapter 89). BismilLah. 


Let's continue from yesterday's reminder with our studies of suurah Al-Fajir. Verses 1–5: Oaths by Powerful Signs

1. وَالْفَجْرِ

By the dawn:

➡️ ALLAH Azzawajal swears by the break of day, symbol of hope, renewal, and light after darkness.

2. وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ

And [by] ten nights

➡️ Most scholars say these are the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah (days of great worship).

3. وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ

And the even and the odd

➡️ Refers to everything in creation — pairs and singles — showing ALLAH'S perfect system

4. وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ

And the night when it passes

➡️ A reminder that hardship, like the night, will pass.

5. هَلْ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِذِي حِجْرٍ

Is there [not] in that an oath for one of understanding?

➡️ These signs are enough for people who reflect deeply


Verses 6–14: Destruction of Arrogant Nations:

6–8. أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ...

Did you not see how your Lord dealt with ‘Aad…

➡️ A powerful nation destroyed due to arrogance.

9. وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ

And Thamud who carved rocks…

➡️ Skilled but defiant against ALLAH Azzawajal 

10. وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِي الْأَوْتَادِ

And Pharaoh, owner of stakes

➡️ A tyrant who oppressed people, especially Bani Israel.

11–12. الَّذِينَ طَغَوْا...

Those who transgressed and spread corruption

➡️ ظلم leads to destruction

13–14. فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ...

So your Lord poured upon them punishment…

➡️ ALLAH Azzawajal is always watching — no oppression goes unnoticed. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
