FAJR REMINDER: THE REWARD AND EVEN MORE

Dhū al-Qa'dah 8, 1447 (26-April-2026)
The delights of Jannah are beyond anything the human mind can fully imagine. Allāh has prepared for the people of Jannah provisions, comforts, and joys that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart has ever conceived. These are for those who obeyed Him in this world, stayed away from disobedience, and remained firm upon His Guidance.
They knew where alcohol was sold, yet they turned away from it for His Sake. They had opportunities to commit Zinā, but they restrained themselves out of fear of Allāh. They could have pursued unlawful wealth, but they chose what was pure and lawful instead. They stood in worship, remained patient during trials, and struggled to please their Lord. For such obedience, patience, steadfastness, and sacrifice, Allāh has prepared a tremendous reward.
He says: “Verily, for the Muttaqūn, there will be a success (Paradise); Gardens and grape yards; And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age; And a full cup (of wine). No Laghw (dirty, false, evil talk) shall they hear therein, nor lying; A reward from your Lord, an ample calculated gift (according to the best of their good deeds).” [Sūrah An-Nabā‘ (78): 31-35]
And Allāh also says: “(They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones. Reclining thereon, face to face. They will be served by immortal boys. With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine. Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head nor any intoxication. And fruits; that they may choose. And the flesh of fowls that they desire.” [Sūrah Al-Wāqi’ah (56): 15-21]
These descriptions alone are enough to make the heart long for Paradise. But there is something even greater, something far more magnificent than all the gardens, rivers, palaces, and pleasures of Jannah—the greatest blessing of all: seeing the Face of our Lord. Allāh says: “For those who have done good is the best (reward, i.e. Paradise) and even more…” [Sūrah Yūnus (10): 26]
What is this “more”? It is the honour of looking upon Allāh Himself.
Ṣuhayb reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When the people of Paradise enter it, Allāh Almighty will say: Would you like anything more? They will say: Have You not brightened our faces? Have You not admitted us into Paradise and saved us from Hellfire? Then, Allāh will lift the veil and nothing they are given will be more beloved to them than looking at their Lord Almighty.” The Prophet recited the verse, “For those who do good is the best and even more.” (10:26) [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 181]
Allāhu Akbar! What greater success can there be than this? To be saved from Hell, admitted into Jannah, and then granted the greatest honour of all—beholding the Face of Allāh.
I beseech Allāh, the Most Merciful, to make us among the people of Jannah and to bless us with the joy of seeing His Noble Face. Aameen.
