THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 23rd day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Monday, 12th June, 2023). *_DIFFICULTIES IN LIFE ARE A BLESSINGS FOR WE BELIEVERS_*. BismilLah.
If life has been difficult for you and calamities after calamities befall you, hear the good news from the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam): 'Trials will continue to befall the believing men and women, with regard to themselves, their children and their wealth, until they meet ALLAH (Malik-al-Mulk, The Owner of All Sovereignty) with no sin on them.' (Tirmidhi).
Subhaan Allah! No sin?! And what is it from this world that you wouldn't give up, just to meet ALLAH (Dhu-al-Jalaliwa-al-Ikram, The Lord of Majesty and Generosity) with no sin!! This narration indicates that, the difficulties we face due to our own disobedience to ALLAH (An-Nuur, The Light) is a means to expiate for our sins. That's why non Muslims sin but still enjoy because they have no share of paradise when they die. We are here like travellers waiting in transit for the next flight so regardless of the difficulties in waiting, our focus is in getting to our final destination be-iznillah.
Sheikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyah said: 'A calamity that makes you turn to ALLAH (As-Sabur, The Patient, The Timeless.) is better for you than a blessing which makes you forget the remembrance of ALLAH (Al-Hamid, The All Praiseworthy) or obedience to ALLAH (Ar-Raqib, The Watchful).
*_May ALLAH (Al-Jaleel, The Majestic) increase us in knowledge and wisdom to understand HIS trials on us_*. Aameen.
