OPPRESSION IS FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 26th day of Rabeeu ath-thaani, 1445AH (Friday, 10th November, 2023). *_OPPRESSION IS FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM_*. BismilLahir Rahmanir Raheem.

AlhamdulilLah for blessing us to be among those who are part of this blessed day of the week. Some slept yesterday without any food or home. It's a sad reality that we live in a world where the oppressed are continuously being oppressed without any end and justice has become a word that we can only ever say, but never physically or successfully see come to pass for us to witness .

From Palestinians fighting for their rights, lands, and homes, to young women being denied the right to wear their hijabs, oppression can come in many forms. And whether that oppression is coming from a Muslim or a non-Muslim, it is heartbreaking and anger-inducing for everyone who witnesses that oppression.

We feel the unfairness when our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters continue to be oppressed while the world stays quiet. We witness the prejudice and unjust ways in which powerful countries ally themselves with the oppressors and give them ‘ammunition’ to continue oppressing the innocent. Many Muslim countries are muted in action. ALLAH is sufficient for HIS servants anyway.

But what do our Islamic scriptures from Qur'an and Hadith have to say about oppression? The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam told us that ALLAH says, “O My slaves, I have forbidden zulm (injustice, wrongdoing, unfairness) to Myself and I have made it haram (forbidden) amongst you, so do not wrong one another.” [Hadith Qudsi, narrated by Muslim].

ALLAH says in the Qur'an:

And think not that ALLAH is unaware of what the oppressors do. He only grants them respite until the day the eyes will stare in horror. [QUR'AN, 14:42]. Every action that is committed in this world is being seen by the Almighty. And it is only a matter of time before ALLAH (SWT) deals with the oppressors accordingly. *_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences_*.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

Friday and it's dignity.

Friday and it's dignity. O you who have believed, when [the adhān] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumuʿah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allāh and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew. Friday is the best day of the week because it was the day Adam was created, the day he entered paradise and the day he was removed from paradise. it was also the day he died and the hour(qiyaamah) will not come except on this day. Sahih. It was narrated from Aws bin Aws that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever washes (ghassala) and performs ghusl, comes early to the masjid and sits near the imam and does not engage in idle talk, he will have for every step he takes (the reward of) a year's worth of good deeds, fasting it and...

The story of taqwa

The story of taqwa. Taqwa means fear of Allah. There once lived a young woman who was very beautiful lady and had all the qualities a man needed. She was well covered and oneday ,she was attacked with her families. This woman was taken away and brought to a man who was the bandits leader. As she was brought, the man wanted to sleep with her as she was so sad and in pain. As she undressed and coming to her, she said fear Allah and know death can come to you now. If you have a mother or sister like me, don't disgrace and destroy my honor for I won't forgive you  The leader immediately remembered he had a sister he loved a lot and so he quickly stopped and dressed and said to the lady, you can go.
