So We said: "Strike him (the dead man) with a piece of it (the cow)." Thus Allah brings the dead to life and shows you His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) so that you may understand.

O Allah, bless us all, as well as our country, with peace, stability and unity. O Allah, whatever evil is prevalent in our societies, be it robbery, theft, murder, in short whatever there may be, change these evils into good. Bless the Muslims of the world with aafiyat (safety in their religious and worldly matters). Bless those without Imaan with the treasure of Imaan. If Imaan is not destined for them, weaken them and their plans, so that they pose no threat to the believers.

[08/03 4:59 am] +234 803 801 4834: *_HURRAY IT'S FRIDAY AGAIN_*

Alhamdulillah for granting us another blessed day of the week. We ask Allah to keep guiding us and aid us to act only for HIS pleasure. Aameen.

The virtues of this day include the following: On it is Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer), which is the best prayers of the week.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allaah [Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!”[al-Jumu’ah 62:9]. This verse has clarify to us that we must stop all kind of activities on Friday to attend to khutbah sermon.

Abdullah bin Abbas and Abu Huraira (RA) have narrated that the Prophet (saw) use to perform four rakaats before the Jumma Salaat and four rakaats after the Jumma Salaat. (Tabraani Kabeer, Majmauz Zawaaid, Kanzul Ummal).

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Rasulullah (saw) has said: “When any one of you performs Jumma Salaat then he should perform four rakaats after the Jumma Salaat. (Sahih Muslim)

Imam Abu Dawood (RA) has also reported that the Prophet (saw) use to perform another two rakaats after the four rakaats, therefore Ali (RA) has mentioned that when any one of you performs the Jumma Salaat then he should perform another six rakaats thereafter. (Tahaawee). Two rakaat with Tashahhud and Tasleem format with first four rakaat as Sunnah and last two rakaat as Nafl. Make more dua in the last sujuud of these Sunnah salawaat as it goes direct to Allah in Shaa Allah. The four rakaats before Jumuat should be combined with two sittings but no Tasleem in between meaning four rakaats combined.

In light of the above ahaadeeth one can deduce that the total rakaats of salaat performed by the Prophet (saw) were four rakaats before Jumma Salaat and six rakaats after the Jumma Salaat and this has also been the practice of the Salaf us Saliheen (Pious Predecessors). It has been narrated by Imam Tirmidhi (RA) and Imam Tahaawi (RA) that this was the practice of Abdullah bin Masood and Abdullah bin Umar (RA). In Musannaf bin Abi Shaybah it has been reported that this was the practice of Abu Musa Asharee (RA) and many other Sahaaba (RA) and the Tabieen.

As our beloved Messenger of Allah recommended, we should try to recite Suuratul Kahf today, take ghusul(pure Islamic bath) , cut our nails, clean our teeth with miswak, men should put on perfume and dress similarly to how we dress for Eid. Send more salutations to the Prophet as follows ( “Allaahumma salli ‘alaa Muhammad wa ‘alaa Aali Muhammad kama salayta ‘ala aali Ibraaheem, wa baarik ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Muhammad kama baarakta ‘ala aali Ibraaheem innaka hameedun majeed (O Allaah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent prayers upon the family of Ibraaheem, and send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibraaheem, You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory). *_We ask ALLAAH to help us in our efforts to please HIM_*. [08/03 5:23 am] +234 803 801 4834: Rajab: A Momentous History

Rajab: A Momentous History

There are momentous times in the history of all peoples. Momentous days, weeks and months. The Muslims are no exception. To the contrary, Islamic history overflows with events and occurrences worthy of the mention, and indeed worthy of remembrance. Such comes with no surprise given the fact that the Islamic civilisation brought a new dawn to the world of the 7th century, as it established itself in the Middle East before moving forth to conquer land after land, bringing with it knowledge, civilisation and real progress.

It is well-known that the holiest of months in the Islamic lunar calendar is Ramadan. A month with unrivalled historic significance, both at the time of the Prophet (saw) and after him. A significance which shadows a heavy burden on the other eleven months, sometimes rendering their magnitude miniscule in its grandeur. In any absolute analysis nevertheless, all the Islamic months have their unique significance. Here we look at one such month, which races towards us, in this, the 1429th year after hijra. That month is Rajab, and it is indeed a month which carries a momentous history. In particular, Rajab saw four events in Islamic History which belong in the category of those which changed the course of history.

It was in Rajab of the 10th year of Prophethood (620 CE) that al-Isra wa ‘l-Mi’raj occurred. In one night the Prophet (saw) went from Makkah to Jerusalem, then to the heavens and beyond. The spiritual significance of Prophetic journey is only matched by the importance of its timing with regard to the Prophetic mission. Having lost his uncle Abu Talib who had protected him from the beginning of his call, as well as his beloved wife Khadija (ra), the Prophet (saw) was in a difficult situation. The Makkans openly declared their campaign of torture and persecution. It was in this dire situation, at the height of the struggle between Islam and Kufr, that Allah decided to show his chosen servant some of His greatest signs, taking him in one night, nay a part thereof, to the sacred mosque in the sacred lands of Jerusalem and from there to the highest heavens.

Rajab also saw one of the glorious military victories of the Messenger (saw); the Battle of Tabuk, which occurred in the 9 AH, and marked the completion of Islamic authority over the whole Arabian Peninsula. Notwithstanding the intense heat and the long journey to al-Sham from Madinah, an army of 30,000, Muslim moved relentlessly towards al-Sham. The Roman armies were encamped at Tabuk ready to raid the Muslims, but when they heard of the size and strength of the Muslim army coming towards them, and that they were led by the Messenger of Allah himself, they were terrified and rushed back into the interior of al-Sham to the safety of their fortresses. This left the Messenger (saw) with an easy task of occupying Tabuk without a fight. He stayed there for a month dealing with other minor resisting forces and also sent letters to the leaders and governors under Roman control in the area, who made peace with him and agreed to pay the Jizyah.

It was also in Rajab, of the year 583 AH (1187 CE), that Salah al-Din marched into Jerusalem, liberating it from the clutches of the European crusaders who had taken it and ruled it for close to a century. This conquest was not only significant because of the inalienable importance of Jerusalem in Islam, but also because of its role as being one of the crucial stabs in crusader efforts to conquer Muslim lands. A few months earlier Salah al-Din annihilated the Crusader army of Guy of Lusignan and Raymond III of Tripoli in the Battle of Hittin. This was a major disaster for the Crusaders and a turning point in the history of the Crusades to the favour of the Muslims.

Centuries later, in 1342 AH (1924 CE), the month of Rajab again brought a history-setting event upon the Muslim Ummah. This time, unlike the previous two, it was not an occurrence worthy of praise, though certainly worthy of remembrance. On the 28 of Rajab, corresponding to the 3rd of March, the Khilafah was officially abolished at the hands of Mustafa Kemal Pasha. That institution which united the Muslims and implemented the Shari’ah was abolished. That institution which for centuries had played out its role of being a shield for the Muslims was removed. What happened afterwards was to be expected. Without a shield, the Muslims, their resources and their lands were no more than war booty to the disbelieving colonialists, who had been pulling the strings to make sure that the Khilafah was eradicated and replaced by secular rule.

These four events in Islamic History are indeed momentous events. They are events which set the course of history in a specific direction. They are events worthy of our remembrance and commemoration. Not a Western commemoration, but an Islamic one. We commemorate not by partying the night away, nor by extravagant marches and trumpet-blowing, nor by building statues and monuments of men. Rather our commemoration is in turning to Allah in worship and contemplation: praising Him for his great favours, and seeking forgiveness for our shortcomings. Our commemoration is in praying extra prayers, reciting more Qur’an and making extra dhikr. Our commemoration is in reflecting upon our situation today, as individuals and as an Ummah, and assessing it in light of our Islamic obligations. Our commemoration is in resolving our will to fulfill our obligations towards our Creator to the best of our ability.

As we enter another Rajab, we should familiarise ourselves with our great history, and take the opportunity to do the above things with pure sincerity to Allah (swt) and with the sole motivation of seeking His pleasure.

We should reflect upon al-Isra wa ‘l-Mi’raj and ask: as we find ourselves in the midst of an intense struggle between Islam and kufr, this time in the form of Western secular liberalism, are we resolving our will and engaging with the aim of making Islam dominant?

We should reflect upon Salah al-Din’s liberation of Jerusalem and ask: what are we doing knowing well that the holy city is occupied yet again and has been so for over fifty years? Where is the Salah al-Din of today?

We should reflect upon the destruction of the Khilafah and ask: what is our contribution to the Islamic revival and efforts to re-establish the Khilafah? What are we doing to fulfil our collective obligation to Allah of ruling by Islam and being the role model of humanity, leading her towards progress and success in both worlds?

We must ask these questions in taking lessons from our history, as we venture into our future

 Pictures of Their Punishments

1⃣The Punishment of the People of Hell Will Vary in Degree

As Hell has various levels, in some of which the torment and horror is greater than in others, so the people of Hell will be given different levels of punishment. According to a hadith narrated by Muslim and Ahmad from Samurah, the Prophet (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) said, concerning the people of Hell:" There are some whom the Fire will take up to their ankles, others up to their knees, others up to their waists, and others up to their collarbones". According to another report, "up to their necks" (Muslim in Kitaab al-Jannah wa Sifaat Na'imihaa, Baab Shiddat Harr an-Naar, 4/2185)

The Messenger of Allah (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) has told us about those who will receive the lightest punishment in Hell. al-Bukhaari reports from al-Nu'maan ibn Basheer who said:

"I heard the Messenger of Allah (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) say, " The person who will have the least punishment among the people of Hell on the Day of Resurrection will be a man under the arch of whose feet will be placed a smouldering ember, and his brains will boil because of it."

Ibn Rajab said, "Know that the different levels of punishment suffered by the people of Hell will be according to the levels of their deeds for which they entered Hell". Then he quotes the evidence for that, such as the words of Ibn 'Abbaas, "The punishment of those who were extreme in their disbelief and spread corruption on earth, calling others to kufr, will not be like the punishment of those who did not do such things". Then Ibn Rajab says, "Similarly, the punishments of the monotheists in Hell will be at different levels, according to their deeds. The punishment of those who were guilty of major sins (kabaa'ir) will not be like that of those who were guilty of minor sins (saghaa'ir). The punishment may be reduced for some of them because of other good deeds, or for whatever reason Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) wills". (at-Takhweef min an-Naar, p. 142-143)

2⃣ Roasting of the Skin

The Fire of the Almighty will burn the skin of the kuffaar. The skin is the site of sensation, where the pain of burning is felt, and for this reason, Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) will replace the burnt skin with a new one, to be burnt anew, and this will be repeated endlessly:

" Those who reject Our Signs, We shall soon cast them into the Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty. For Allah is Exalted in Power, All-Wise" (4:56)

3⃣ Melting

One of the kinds of torment will be the pouring of al-Hameem over their heads. al-Hameem is ultra-heated water; because of its extreme heat, it will melt their innards and everything inside:

"... then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as [their] skins". (22:19-20)

at-Tirmidhi reported from Abu Hurayrah (Radiallaahu Anhu) that the Prophet (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) said:

"al-Hameem will be poured on their heads and will dissolve through until it reaches their sides and all their innards will drop out, until it comes out of his feet, and everything is melted, then he will be restored as he was. " He (at-Tirmidhi) said, "It is a sahih ghareeb hasan hadith". (at-Takhweef min an-Naar, p.145, Jaami' al-Usool, 10/540)

BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
