*How bad is that for which they have sold their own selves, that they should disbelieve in that which Allah has revealed (the Quran), grudging that Allah should reveal of His Grace unto whom He will of His slaves. So they have drawn on themselves wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers, there is disgracing torment.*

Narrated Abu Musa:                        The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like  abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain water and brought  forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain water  and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink  from it and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could  neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the  example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which  Allah has revealed through me (the Prophets and learns and then teaches others. The last example is  that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah's guidance revealed through me (He  is like that barren land.)"

The Delights of the People of Paradise: The Clothing, Jewellery and Incense-Burners Of the People of Paradise

The people of Paradise will wear the most luxurious clothes, amongst other things, garments of silk and bracelets of gold, silver and pearls. Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala)
" And their recompense will be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient." [76:12]

"... wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments will be of silk." [ 22:23]

"... They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Rabb will give them a pure drink." [76:21]

Their clothes will be colourful, including garments of green silk and brocade:

".. *They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade. They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to re18:31]

"Their garments will be of fine green silk, and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver.." [76:21]

Their clothing will be far superior to any man-made garment. al-Barraa ibn 'Aadhib said, "A silken garment was brought to the Messenger (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) and we began to admire its beauty and softness." The Messenger of Allah (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) said, " The handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'aadh are better than this." [al-Bukhaari, Kitaab Bid' al-Khalq, Baab Maa Jaa'a fi Sifat al-Jannah wan-Naar, Fath al-Baari, 6/319]

The Prophet (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) also told us that the people of Paradise will have combs of gold and silver, and that they will perfume themselves with 'Ud at-Teeb, even though the scent of musk will be emanating from their pure bodies. al-Bukhaari narrates from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) said of those wTheir vessels will be of gold and silver, their combs will be of gold and the coals of their incense-burners will be of aloe-wood [Abul-Yaman said, "of 'Ud at-Teeb] and their sweat will be musk." [al-Bukhaari, Kitaab Bid' al-Khalq, Baab Maa Jaa'a fi Sifat al-Jannah wan-Naar, Fath al-Baari, 6/319]

Their jewellery will include crowns. at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Maajah report from al-Miqdaam ibn Ma'd Yakrib that among the honours bestowed upon the martyr will be: ".. there will be placed upon his head a crown of dignity, one ruby of which is better than this world and all that is in it ." [Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh, 3/358, no. 3834, Saheeh Muslim, saheeh]

The clothing and jewellery of the people of Paradise will never wear out or fade. Muslim reports from Abu Hurayrah (Radiallaahu Anhu) that the Prophet (Salallaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) said, " Whoever enters Paradise is blessed, and will never be miserable, his clothes will never wear out and his youth will never fade away ." [Saheeh Muslim, Kitaab al-Jannah, Baab fi Dawam Na'eem al-Jannah, 4/2181, no. 2836]

"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers."(51:55) +234 8034148158: *7 CAUSES OF ENVY (HASAD)*

Hasad is a desire that a blessing or a cause of happiness departs from its possessor and becomes transferred to oneself. Hasad is cancerous in its effect and leads to hatred, animosity, ill-feelings and often further disobedience towards Allah Ta'ala. It is condemned in many ahaadeeth. Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wassallam) said,
*‘Envy eats away good deeds like fire eats away wood.’* (Abu Daud and al-Tirmidhi).

7 causes of hasad are as follows:

*1.Enmity and hatred:* This is the one of the severest cases of envy because when a person has hatred and enmity in his heart for someone animosity begins to settle in his heart. This animosity needs to be treated and causes the person to desire revenge. If he is unable to get some sort of revenge, this animosity turns into envy: the person yearns for his enemy to lose any blessings that he has.

*2.Low Self-Esteem:* This type of envy originates whenever someone else is blessed with goodness the person feels inferior and this inferiority leads him to desire the blessings be removed from the other person.

*3.Pride and Arrogance:* This is when a person sees another succeeding beyond him and considers this person unworthy of this blessing. He is proud, thinks himself better and more deserving and wishes that the blessings be removed from his possession.

*4.Astonishment:* This is when people are amazed and astonished that others are distinguished from them, and question how someone like that can receive a blessing that they themselves do not have.

*5.Fear of losing one’s own aims:* This usually is in the case when a number of people seek a common goal. In such a situation each party is envious of the other when the other party is blessed with something that helps to achieve their common goal. If the rival gains something for the common purpose, then one gets jealous as they see this as compromising their own goal.

*6.Love of leadership and status:* The person who is very talented in his field, who is accustomed to praise, compliments and flattery will find it difficult not to envy one who is also up-and-coming in his field. As such, he will be saddened to hear of him being praised or esteemed and will wish that this blessing be removed from him. His love of recognition and a fear of losing this is for him a sufficient reason for and cause of envy.

*7.Impurity of the soul:* An impure soul rejoices at the calamities of others and regrets their blessings. This person is miserly with regards to Allah’s provisions and blessings, and his attitude is one which implies that the bounty, on others, diminishes Allah’s provision for him; he forgets that Allah favors whom He wills, without measure and that others cannot limit that which is decreed by him already.

In reality when a person is envious of another, he is actually doubting the wisdom of Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) and questioning His decision. This is because, ultimately, it is Allah Ta'ala who decided what favors’ to bestow on which people.

_“O you who envies the blessings I have_

_Do you know whom you have wronged?_

_You have wronged Allah for His decision,_

_By not being pleased with the gift He has given."_

May Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) protect us from this evil and severe disease. Aameen.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
