*And when there came to them (the Jews), a Book (this Quran) from Allah confirming what is with them [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], although aforetime they had invoked Allah (for coming of Muhammad Peace be upon him) in order to gain victory over those who disbelieved, then when there came to them that which they had recognised, they disbelieved in it. So let the Curse of Allah be on the disbelievers.*

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:                        Once I came riding a she-ass and had (just) attained the age of puberty. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was offering  the prayer at Mina. There was no wall in front of him and I passed in front of some of the row while  they were offering their prayers. There I let the she-ass loose to graze and entered the row, and nobody  objected to it.

Patience is one of the most beautiful attributes one can ever have. It makes one listen, understand, forgive, forget, endure and move on with life. 128. DU'Ā TO WARD OFF THE DECEPTION OF THE OBSTINATE DEVILS

I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah - which neither the upright nor the corrupt may overcome - from the evil of what He created, of what He made, and of what He scattered, from the evil of what descends from the heavens, and of what rises up to them, from the evil of what He scattered in the earth and of what emerges from it, from the evil trials of night and day, and from the evil of every night visitor, except the night visitor who comes with good. The Delights of the People of Paradise: The Superiority of Paradise Over the Pleasures of This World (continued)

4⃣ The Pleasures of This World are Transient Whilst the Joys of the Hereafter are Lasting and Eternal

This is why Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) calls the pleasures of this world "temporary conveniences" because they are enjoyed for a short while, then come to an end, but the joys of al-Aakhirah have no end:

" What is with you, must vanish, and what is with Allah will endure.. " [16:96]

"[It will be said to them]: This is Our Provision, which will never finish" [38:54]

"... its provision is eternal and so is its shade.." [13:35]

Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) gave an example of how quickly this world will pass away:

" And put forward for them the example of the life of this world, it is like the water [rain] which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But [later] it becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allah is Able to do everything. Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds that last are better with your Rabb for rewards and better in respect of hope" [18:45-46]

Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) likened this life to the rain that falls from the sky and causes plants to grow and flower and bear fruit. This lasts for only a short time, before they shrivel and are blown away by the wind. Such are the luxuries of this life, such as youth, wealth, sons, lands and fields. All of this passes away; youth fades, health and vitality are replaced by sickness and old age, wealth and children may disappear, a man may be taken from his family and wealth, but the Hereafter will never vanish or go away:

"... And excellent indeed will be the home of the Muttaqoon, 'Adn Paradise which they will enter, under which rivers flow.." [16:30-31]

5⃣ Seeking to Enjoy the Pleasures of this World and Neglecting the Hereafter Will be Followed By Regret and Sorrow When One Enters the Fire of Hell

" Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection will you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception [a deceiving thing ]" [3:185]

"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers."(51:55)

_Differences between Patience and Gratitude in Virtue._

Know verily that, people are of different opinions regarding which one is given priority between patience and gratitude and they have expounded that in length.

However, in summary, both patience and gratitude have different levels. The least stage of patience is to accept an unwanted situation with a bare chest without complaining, and after that comes pleasure, and this is the stage after patience, and after that comes gratitude on adversity, and it comes after pleasure.

The levels of gratitude are numerous, for a servant to recognize the blessings of Allah Ta'āla upon him is a gratitude, and his acknowledgement for his laxity of rendering gratitude in the best mode is also a gratitude.

Knowing the bounties of Allah upon him for keeping his shortcomings secret is a gratitude, and recognizing blessings are from Allah is a gratitude, and acknowledging that gratitude is a blessing amongst the blessings of Allah is also a gratitude, and being modest in prosperity and thanking others is a gratitude.

In fact, gratitude is a means that lead to another gratitude.

In this context, the Rasūl sallallāhu a'layhi wasallam said:

_لا يشكر الله من لا يشكر الناس._

_He who doesn't thank people is ungrateful to Allāh_

Transmitted by Imām Abū Dāwud.

Good manners and overlooking the shortcomings of others is a gratitude. Receiving graces in the best manner and not belittling it is a gratitude.

Hence, the numerous levels of gratitude and patience which apply to deeds and statements are uncountable and the levels differ, then how can there be priority of one over the other?

However, if gratitude is attached to spending wealth on the path of obedience, then gratitude is given priority. This is because it also entails patience, being pleased with the blessings of Allāh 'Azzawajal, and there is the possibility of enduring spending the wealth to the poor ones.

Thus, from this lens, gratitude is given priority over patience.

Allāhu A'alam! Bārakallāhu fīkum!
[24/03 4:15 am] +234 803 801 4834: *When people ask you for help.*
.
.
Subhanallah, may Almighty Allah not make us among those who beg for help. Wallahi Allah can test people in so many ways, one of the ways is to test them with issues such as poverty that they need to ask someone money.

Many people who have to ask for money, wallahi many of them could not do otherwise. They wish they did not ask. They find it extremely difficult and embarrassing to ask, but because they have no any other ways out they definitely ask.

Now, when we are asked, wallahi it is our obligation and duty to help if we have the means to. The wealth which Allah (Sub-haanahu wata'aala) gives us is not ours, it is a loan. Wallahi it is not ours, it belongs to almighty Allah (Sub-haanahu wata'aala). So we most give out, whether we know the person or not. Some times we have to use our discretion to know how much we should offer. Which means, we can not just give any amount, we should be reasonable and considerate.

My dear brothers and sisters on the day of judgment Allah ( Sub-haanahu wata'aala) will punish people for having the opportunity to help others in the world but they didn't. Sometimes our neighbours can't afford meals, sometimes they can't afford health care, we don't need to wait for them to ask. Wallahi it is our duty to extend our help without being asked.

As Muslims we should always remember the inspirational stories of umUmar bin Khattab, Uthman bin Affan, Abubakar Assidiq and few others. Those great men would give out their entire wealth to strangers, hoping they get it back on the day of judgement. Also, remember, whatever you eat from your wealth in this world only goes down the toilet sewer. What we benefit from is what we give out in the way of Allah.

May Almighty Allah make us from those who help others and not from those stingy ones.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
