Today's First Hadīth is about belief and disbelief!


حَدَّثَنَا  مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي  قَيْسٌ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ أَشَارَ  رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ هَا  هُنَا، أَلاَ إِنَّ الْقَسْوَةَ وَغِلَظَ الْقُلُوبِ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ  عِنْدَ أُصُولِ أَذْنَابِ الإِبِلِ، حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنَا الشَّيْطَانِ  فِي رَبِيعَةَ وَمُضَرَ ‏"

‏‏.‏

 Narrated `Uqba bin `Umar and Abu Mas`ud:                        

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) pointed with his hand towards Yemen and said, "True Belief is Yemenite yonder (i.e.  the Yemenite, had True Belief and embraced Islam readily), but sternness and mercilessness are the  qualities of those who are busy with their camels and pay no attention to the Religion where the two  sides of the head of Satan will appear. Such qualities belong to the tribe of Rabi`a and Mudar."

Today's Second Hadīth is about crowing of cocks and braying of donkeys!


حَدَّثَنَا  قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ  الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى  الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ صِيَاحَ  الدِّيَكَةِ فَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ، فَإِنَّهَا رَأَتْ  مَلَكًا، وَإِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ نَهِيقَ الْحِمَارِ فَتَعَوَّذُوا بِاللَّهِ  مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، فَإِنَّهُ رَأَى شَيْطَانًا ‏"

‏‏.‏

 Narrated Abu Huraira:                        

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for Allah's Blessings for (their crowing  indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with  Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan."

Today's Third Hadīth is about taking care of children!


حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ،  أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي  عَطَاءٌ، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ  رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِذَا كَانَ جُنْحُ اللَّيْلِ ـ  أَوْ أَمْسَيْتُمْ ـ فَكُفُّوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ  تَنْتَشِرُ حِينَئِذٍ، فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ سَاعَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ  فَحُلُّوهُمْ، وَأَغْلِقُوا الأَبْوَابَ، وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ،  فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لاَ يَفْتَحُ بَابًا مُغْلَقًا ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالَ  وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ  نَحْوَ مَا أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ ‏"‏ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ  اللَّهِ ‏"‏‏.‏


 Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:                        

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When night falls (or it is evening), keep your children close to you for the devils  spread out at that time. But when an hour of the night elapses, you can let them free. Close the doors  and mention the Name of Allah, for Satan does not open a closed door."

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night.
