A Great Benefit | Moderation Is The Key

✒ *A Great Benefit | Moderation Is The Key فائدة عظيمة*

The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam said: “Indeed everything has a (period of) zeal and for every zeal there is a (period of) weakness so if you see a man upright and moderate then hope for him and if you see him being pointed towards with fingers then do not count him.”

● [رواه الترمذي برقم ٢٤٥٣ ، حسنه الألباني]

al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mubārakfooree Raḥimahullāh explained it in his Sharḥ beautifully:

“His (Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam)’s saying {Indeed everything has a zeal..} means having interest in something and energy and inclination towards either good or evil {And every zeal has a weakness..} meaning loss of vigor and slackening and settling down {So if you see a man upright and moderate..} means the man with enthusiasm for his deed is moderate and he avoids both extremes i.e going overboard in zeal and being weak in slackening {Then hope for him) meaning hope success for him for it is possible that he will continue being moderate regarding his deeds and the most beloved deeds to Allāh are the continuous ones {And if he is being pointed towards with fingers..} meaning he strives and is excessive in his deeds so he can achieve fame for his worship and asceticism and so people can point towards him {Then do not count him..} i.e then do not count him and consider him from amongst righteous ones for he is a show-off, and he (Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) did not say (regarding the latter one) ‘Do not hope for him’, this is an indication that this one who wishes to be seen has fallen (i.e there is no hope for him) and he is not able to correct of that extremism he has fallen into.”

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
